From Clipyn Du. We had a 2h. dry period which encouraged us to return to the Glaslyn access gate over this hill. A stile indicated the route of the path from Bugeilyn to Cerrig Brithion; it was ricketty and evidence of the path extremely fragmentary (Pete thought imaginary!) but we got on the ridge and skirted bogs to get to the peat platforms summit area and deduce the HP. Returning to a farmer's vehicle track up the N slope, we noted what looked like a straight path continuing- it really did, and it led to the fence turn at SN 82709339. From there it was down to the Cambrian Way and good track back. With brother, Pete.pwheeler12/09/2023
Parked at the Glaslyn access gate then along track to Bugeilyn. Continued along track across Tarren Bwlch-gwyn to Clipyn Du. By far the easiest part of the walk as it was then wet and rough terrain to capture the four tops of Carn Hyddgen, Foel Uchaf, Foel Isaf and Llechwedd Crin. Sloshed up Banc Bugeilyn for good measure before retreating to the van for succour, tea and biccies.summitter30/08/2023
Bryn y Fedwen > Foel Fadian [S8517] > Esgair Greolen > Banc Bugeilyn > Clipyn Du (Tarren Bwlch - gwyn) (Siambr Trawsfynydd) from GR: SN 83722 95257ronaldo33315/04/2023

Some tough pathless sections, but also some quick bits with cart and quad bike tracks. Splendid views! A total distance of 27.5km with 980m ascent in 8.5 hours.silveracorn_alan09/04/2022
