Sign discourages motor vehicles. Lower end of track pretty poor surface. Walked up more dramatic hills in my time.Campbell Singer10/08/2021
2/2 Black Scar from Cattle Grid then crossed over to climb up beside fence to curve over to Moudy Mea. Both easy walks. (Then on to High Greygrits and Brownber Head moving the car).nickywood126/06/2021

As with others I started at the bottom of the track leading to the mast. Although there is room for a couple of cars the verges were not a good idea to park on (after a quick inspection) due to the amount of rain in the preceding days. I found a small place to park on more solid ground about three or four hundred metres up the road. Its worth bearing in mind.thenomad25/05/2021
Parked opposite the end of the track.clivevilla06/05/2021

Easy walk up the track to the mast - then a few hundred yards over rough pasture.Crib Goch03/10/2015
A walk taking in Mouldy Mea, High Greygrits and Great Knipe. Hard moorland walking with one or two short steep bits. Parked at NY 87423 12792. Crossed the stream by a bridge and followed the old railway to a hut. Up onto moor to Moudy Mea from here. Next stop High Greygrits and trig. Near the trig picked up a track and followed to just past a ford, then turned left onto moor to Roman signal station. Next was A66, really exciting to get across and wall at the other side was quite smooth. Back to moorland to Great Knipe. Down to road and back to car. Lots of barbed wire around.MikeM06/09/2015
Followed the track up from the northwest.JohnStoneham02/08/2015

From track to mast.Very wet and muddy by the mast, best avoided by skirting up fence line to the left of the station. Flat wet top.mick06/04/2014

From 855121, simple walk up track to the mast, unmarked summit beyond on plateau.steve hudson26/02/2013
A straightforward walk along a stoned road as far as the wireless station. Thence a vehicular track through the tussocky grass to the summit. (It would be very very wrong of me to say that you could drive the road, even if it has a good turning place before the last gate ..... so I won't)moorsman05/11/2012
Park at road and take track, only good for 4x4's. Dullest top of the day, small view into Stainmore Pass. Knipe hiden from view. Mast ground is NOT higher, @100m to East its 5m ish higher but its a flattish expanse. I drive the A66 daily but won't be back in a hurry!nordicstar16/07/2012
