Round of Sgòr Gaibhre, Càrn Dearg and Beinn Pharlagain from the B846 near Rannoch. 3.2mi walk in to the start of the loop - started with Beinn Pharlagain (Meall na Meoig) and then over to Sgòr Gaibhre, then Càrn Dearg and then continued back along the ridge to the track back to the B846. Sunny with blue skies but strong freezing winds - just over 16 miles and over 1100m of ascent - total time 7h 8min. | mproudfoot | 20/03/2022 |

From S, #4 of 7. Thought I'd revisit the Marilyn while here. Then after procrastination decided to include Sron na Saobhaidhe adding 12km and a Munro to my afternoon. It was the weather for it. | RHW | 28/05/2021 |
From the B846 by Loch Eigheach. Followed the track to the far end of the plantation 435609, then a faint path on the west bank of the Allt Eigheach, not realising the track had been extended up the glen and I could have stayed on it. Crossed back over at a small hydro construction around 434632. Then steady grassy slopes fairly direct to the summit. | Owen B | 26/09/2020 |

Up the hydro track until a sturdy bridge reached. Then, staying on the east side of the Allt Eigheach, we followed an ATV trail that eventually petered out about a third of the way up the south flank of Beinn Pharlagain. Once the main ridge was attained a small path was located and repeatedly lost as we bagged the four ridge tops all the way to Meall na Meoig. A very hot day so we called it a day and headed straight down and west from this final summit to the cool pools of the alluring burn below for a spot of skinny-dipping and dipper watching. A long dusty trail all the way back to Loch Eigheach and the scorching car, but a sense of satisfaction and a coldish coke helped salve the body and mind. | summitter | 01/06/2020 |

After Sgor Gaibhre. Cairn is obviously not on the highest rock. Worth a visit for the summit lochs and crags. Clear sunny day with cold east wind when I visited. Returned to bike at bridge over the Allt Eighheach. | mindlessflogger | 03/05/2017 |
