From Whinlatter Pass (Hobcarton CP). Good forest tracks then steeply up alongside forest/open fell boundary. On to Ladyside Pike. Picking off some odd hills not previously visited.jonglew16/08/2018

Parking area just N. of the road gate at 169241 (Space for 6-7 cars) – After bagging Dodd, headed roughly ENE, crossed Hope Beck & then made way up to through heather to summit. Wherever possible, made use of breaks in the heather & sheep trods. From summit, down path on left side of wall. (PM)gerrybowes29/08/2017
From Hope Beck at 175231. Followed the many sheep tracks that traverse the area which made it a reasonable climb avoiding the worst of the deep heather. With GB. Descended NW to High Swinside Farm.bolton29/08/2017
From Ladyside Pike then back over Hopegill Head and Grisedale Pike to Hobcarton End. Enjoying walking the graceful ridges of these fell so much I didn't mind the re-ascent at all. Nice bit of scrambling back on to the fine and unfamiliar Hopegill Head.Wycombe Wanderer25/06/2017

From Dodd by descending into upper cwm then horrible diagonal heathery contouring. Descended directly to car at bottom of Hope Gill by equally horrible deep heather, bilberry and bracken. Annoying because I'm almost certain I've done this hill before on the way to bigger things; no record can be found though.Aye Jimmy06/08/2015
