NW up the steep slope to Great Howe and continuing to Grey Crag (Sleddale Fell). NE across the Greycrag Tarn bog to Tarn Crag (Sleddale) summit and the survey pillar. Continue down to Brownhowe Bottom to join the Gatescarth Pass track back to Sadgill.
Dry, too windy for the intended route up to Harter Fell and back by Kentmere Pike.
