From Legburthwaite Car Park (£4 for 5 hours). Wren Crag, High Rigg SE Top, High Rigg S Top - easy path to follow, clag but dry | matty1971b | 17/03/2024 |
Circuit, parking at corner W of Wanthwaite Bridge. Threlkeld Knotts, White Pike, Calfhow Pike, Little Dodd (fairly meaningless 'summit' with two cairns), Great Dodd, Randerside, Watson's Dodd. Descended via Castle Rock then returned via ridge of High Rigg. Wen Crag, High Rigg S Top, SE Top, and High Rigg. | RobertP | 12/12/2023 |
2nd visit on a solo 555 linear bus walk/ jog from Swirls car park to Keswick on a beautiful sunny autumnal day. Down to shorts here as the warmth of weak mid day sun just about beat the chill of the NE breeze. I went out to the minor lower cairned west top then enjoyed weaving through Paper Moss (an unusual name) with at least 10 small knolls all nicely side lit and shadow - a low sun giving good side lighting - the benefit of autumnal / winter walking. | Chris Pearson | 21/11/2023 |
