Parked besides Loch Rannoch and cycled from Annat, via about 4 gates, to Duinish. ATV track helped get up and down Creag nan Gabhar and Beinn Mholach quickly. Then doubled back to climb Gualann Sheileach and Creag a' Mhadaidh in turn before turning attention to Creagan Odhar. Biked down to Craiganour Lodge and back on to road, detouring around a plantation/deer fence en route. 5.15 hrs.summitter05/09/2023
With Creag a'Mhadaidh by bike from Loch Rannoch. Started 7am to beat incoming front, was on summit of Mholach at 9.30am in sunshine and stiff breeze. Got down to bothy just in time to dodge rain. Sat there for most of an hour, then cycled back with out-and-back to Mhadaidh, meeting a Graham-bagger at the cairn. One slight shower on Mhadaidh. Total walking time was 3h 20m, rest was bike or bothy. Morton's really bad in right foot after only an hour walking. Rounsfell08/07/2023
Bike in to end of estate road. Better route choice on return. Bike tyre blew on return and had to push for a mile.langskill29/06/2023
From Dalnaspidal with Anne B and Ralph on the bikes to 623687. Misty but dry and an easy enough climb to the summit with an ATV track helpful.bolton14/02/2023
Left bike at end of L Garry. Boggy flats then path/ ATV track up the bulk of hill (after popping in to the bothy). Mixed but benign weather for February, snow in pockets only. 6 hrs inc bike, returning same way.niallp07/02/2023
With Rhona & Struie from Dalnaspidal Lodge on bikes to end of track at Allt Coire Easan, a fast flowing burn. Walk across to bothy at Duinish. Straight up slope to Craig nan Gabhar then on to summit. Nothing difficult or technical.DampandDusty27/11/2022

Walk track on boggy ground to footbridge crossing at Allt Shallainn, then following ATV tracks up NE ridge of Creag na Gabhar, and SW along ridge to summit at huge cairn of Beinn Mholach, return same route. Damp start but improved to windy warm day.Frank14/07/2022

With John. Used bikes to end of Loch Garry. Didn’t see anyone, but lots of mummy birds trying to lure us away from their chicks - and plovers on the top. Grand views to Schiehallion and Ben Alder. Lots of frogs too. Veryhappybunny21/06/2021
Parked 150m west of the track to Annat by Loch Rannoch. Enjoyed the farm track up from Annat, reminded me of the Yorkshire Dales, lush grassy track between dry stone walls, mist rising off the loch, lots of sheep. Joined the track from Craiganour, then up to the small dam, faint path petering out with peat hags over Sgurran Dearg, then a straightforward mostly grassy ascent.Owen B24/09/2020

Nice afternoon sun. Met mountain assessment group on summit. In from Bridge of Ericht via Dial-a-bus via the Stob and out to Kinloch Rannoch with stags roaring in the shallow Corrie.davechaffey05/11/2019

Day 2 of a 2 day round of 9 tops north of Loch Rannoch from Durnish bothy: Creag a Mhaigaaidh(G); Gualann Shelleach(Gt);Beinn Mholeach(C) and back to tent. Shorter of the two days, had tiome to walk out but stayed put as train booked for following day.dickscroop14/05/2018
A nice walk, but the weather was vile, a combination of strong winds with heavy rain that was trying to be snow but not managing it. Amazingly, the visibility was excellent all day. The massive flat boggy area at the top of Loch Garry is really something special, but what a shame the Cairngorms National Park is unable to protect it from a a hydro scheme and new bulldozed tracks.Gill27/04/2017

Craeag a' Mhadaidh NN 633650 S/F NN 645731 2nd trip down Loch Garry to climb this hill. Drove to loch side then wind assisted trip down looch for overnight camp at 622666. Very cold night but dry. Awful navigation error, didn't check map before setting out and crossed river needlessly, realised mistake at about 624675. Fortunately this gave a straight, if boggy route direct to hill rather than planned use of longer track. No cairn at summit. Dry day with sunny periods, light wind and high cloud. Returned to tent via path and found bothy (not MBA) at 617670, Duinish, not too bad, definitely useable. Returned to camp and packed up. Very pleasant paddle back down loch with no wind at all, decided to camp at loch side and get out in morning. Very cold night and snow showers in morning so brought car down road to get out.John Young01/04/2016
With M. Long walk from A9. Staying Blair Atholl.douglas_easton25/03/2016
From Dalnaspidal (A9), cycled to end of Loch Garry, then on to bridge and up the long east ridge. No cloud above 400m when I set out but gradually higher cloud moved in from the west and hit the summit at about the same time as me.Topographer5702/11/2015
Visibility enough to see the trig from the grotesque cairn and vice versa. Better views from lower. Started from Craigannour Lodge mainly because the autumnal trees nicer than Dalnidspal dreariness.Martin R26/10/2015
