Parked at Auchlean for a 45km circuit of 11 Simms. 1/11. Just about managed to boulder-hop the River Feshie NW of hill. | PGCE | 22/06/2021 |
Day 1 of a three day/two night bivi bag circuit from/to Bruar bothy. Beinn Losgarnaich, Glas Leathad Feishie, Beinn Bhreac NW top, Meall Tionail, An Elrig, Sron na Ban-righ. Thought might have problems with Feishie crossing but water very low. | dickscroop | 06/05/2017 |
Ground from An Eilrig not too bad, with a Muirneag-like col before a pleasant ascent on pretty good heather. Effort rewarded by a fabulous sunset over Carn Dearg Mor. Steep heathery descent to river then an over-knee barefoot (and bareleg) wade of the Feshie to the safety of the track. The track crosses the Feshie three times on its way to Glenfeshie Lodge but path continues along the east bank and is perfectly walkable despite looking tenuous in places, so I was relieved not to have to wade the river again in the dark. Back at car just after midnight. | alda | 13/08/2015 |
