From the A93 car park | Gonk | 01/03/2024 |
Round of tops from Spittal of Glenshee, starting along Cateran Trail before climbing Black Hill. On to Mallrenheskein, Carn Ait, Meall Gorm, Carn Chomh-Stri, Carn an Daimh, Bad an Loin. Quite breezy, some excellent views. | RobertP | 13/07/2022 |
From Connecting Contours CP, up Leacann Dubh to Meall Odhar (revisited), along the traverse path to the cairn at Bathaich Beag, contouring onwards to Little Glas Maol and Monega Hill, returning across the southern flanks of Glas Maol, then along the Leacach ridge to Cul Riabhach, Creag Leacach (revisited), CL SW Top and Meall Gorm, descending heathery slopes back to Connecting Contours. An unconventional but varied route, visiting two Munro Tops and another that I had crossed but can't remember whether I visited the summit. Monega Hill has fine views over Caenlochan Glen to the imposing crags of Druim Mor. | Nick Down1 | 03/07/2022 |
HBbHB. From car park on bend. Track down to river - which could be tricky to cross in spate. Due to strong winds followed burn, keeping right and right at confluences. Straight down on return. 1h10mins round trip. | Minto | 08/02/2022 |

Solo. From the bottom of the Devil's Elbow at Glen Shee. Ascended directly to the summit of Meall Gorm (759m) with excellent step kicking on crisp snow. Crampons were put on a short distance from the top as the snow was becoming icy. A view was had – the last of the day. I proceeded to the SW top (943m) and the main top (987m) of Creag Leacach. Continued to Little Glas Maol and Cairn of Claise. | pwbellarby | 24/02/1996 |
