Self and dog. Parked opposite caravan site S of Braemar. Surprisingly good path climbs near the old wall S of Lion's Face. Above the wee crag at NN167909 the path is closer to the wall than shown on the 1:25k map; it goes to the summit and on to the cairn at the SW end of the ridge. The granite at the top of the hill extends all the way to Lochnagar.Invicta1402/10/2022
Route on ridge running all the way from Braemar to Lochnagar, with return along Glen Callater. Started with climb to Creag Choinnich, steep descent to beallach and climb to Carn nan Sgliat. Continued to Millstone Cairn (rough steep climb), Creag nan Leachda. On to Creag na Dearcaige and Creag Loisgte, descent to Loch Phadruig. Climbed Meall an t-Slugain, continued to Creag an Loch, joined path for a while and then Carn an t-Sagairt Mor, Carn an t-Sagairt Beag, Carn a' Choire Bhoidheach, and Cac Carn Mor and Cac Carn Beag of Lochnagar. Return along good path to Glen Callater.RobertP10/07/2022
Descended steeply on a path going S from Creag Choinnich, but left the path to cut across the hillside and finally join the main path around the 'Loin's Face' area. Good path from there to the summit. Down by the same path and back across into the pleasant woodland above the lochan, joining a main path back through the wood to the hostel.LizH20/06/2022

Solo. From car park at Keiloch. After ascending Creag nan Leachda and Millstone Cairn. From summit of latter descended NNW to the col with Carn nan Sgliat with some difficulty. Beyond col found a narrow path ascending to the summit ridge of Carn nan Sgliat. Higher up it joined a well trodden path. Passed quite large cairn at SW end before reaching the summit where there is a stone shelter with quite high walls. Followed path northwards until it bent towards Braemar where I went NE to the A93 road.pwbellarby20/08/2013
