From the Glenmark track. Track all the way to top.Gonk13/09/2023
From Sim to N over pathless heather and bilberries, quite rough, over peaty col, then picked up path which joined mapped track. HP is indistinct to the E of the track in heather . Descended excellent track back to main mount keen track, via which we returned to Glen Mark carpark.Denise 17/09/2022
From Braid Cairn down heather and bands of rounded boulders and unusual boulder gullies. From a little beyond the peaty col a good track passes just W of the summit. Summit is spongy grass/moss/short heather with pools of water. High point un-marked.RichardM17/09/2022

With Evan W. From Invermark car park along track by Water of Mark, then up LRT by Burn of Glascorrie and on to summit plateau and cairn (adorned with small bird’s skull), then north to higher ground to try to determine highest point (very difficult). Sunny and very warm, but welcome breeze higher up. Lochnagar prominent in the distance to the west. Back down the same way.mainnirnamfiadh27/06/2018

A good day. Fine weather, mainly good going except through the heather on Braid cairn: from Invermark to Round Hill, Braid cairn, Hill of Gairney,Cock cairn, and hill of Cat from where dropped down to a track not oln the map leading to one that is. Perhaps mine is an old map? Then over the fields etc back to start.dickscroop25/09/2016
After a nice lunch at The Retreat in Glen Esk. From the car park near the end of the road in Glen Esk. Initially on track leading to Mount Keen, then branching off on track used by grouse shooters that goes north near the Burn of Glascorrie to start with. Although not shown on OS 1:50,000 maps, the track goes all the way to the summit area. There is a cairn, but this is not at the highest point. Highest point appears to be further north in a very flat, heathery area so it is not possible to say from visual observation precisely where the highest point is. Returned same way.pwbellarby16/08/2015
Sunny spells, high cloud, cool, occasional showers, strong wind, good views.iangalbraith28/05/2006
OK heather summit, fine aspect from S. acw circuit from Glenesk car pk RHW06/04/2004
Standard route up Glen Mark past Queen's Well to Mount Keen solo on a hot sunny day. Varied the descent by heading E to Braid Cairn & then generally S over Round Hill picking up the track which leads back down to the outward route.NotReallyABagger29/08/2000
