Parked at the Forest of Birse road end for a clockwise circuit of 10 Trump's and 1 sub. 2/11 Visited summit and alternative highpoint.PGCE25/02/2024
The last of my 5 Simms today, starting at Birse Castle, over Gannoch, Cat, Tampie and Mudlee. From there it's just a boring sprint down the new expensive estate track to stand on a bit of boggy heather. Back over Mudlee and down the Fungle Road.NormanW02/10/2023
From car park at Ballochan up the Fungle Road and up over Mudlee Bracks and along landrover track to top. There is a cairn on other side of fence at top area. It was tempting to head cross country to Cock HIll and pick up the track back down to Ballochan to complete the circuit. However, having previously experienced trackless cross country through peat hags between Cock Hill and Baudnacauner I decided it probably wasn't worth the hassle and went back over MB and back down the fungle road.Jossker29/07/2023
On day 12 of TGOC 2023, between Shiel of Glentanar and Clachnabenalistairpooler23/05/2023
An easy circuit from Birse Castle, using the track up to Gannoch Hill, then over Tampie. Down until the route to Mudlee Bracks is visible, then shortcut down to Fungle Road and up an ATV track next to the fence. Over the top and onto the track to Hill Of Cammie. Shite ground N towards Cock Hill, but bits of mown ATV track help, except over the 550m bump and 536m col. Good track thereafter over Cock Hill. I cut back towards the Fungle road on a mown track but this involves fording the Water of Feugh. Would be better using either the bridge by Ballochan or further E but I had left the map in the car...Gill06/09/2020
Cairny hill, hill of cammie, mudlee bracks, tampie, gannoch, hill of cat, pullar cuy, creag na h lolaire from the CP at tarfside.robertphillips09/08/2020
On way to Battock With L -15 windy miles in glorious winter sun. From Birse Chapel road end -perfect dry smooth path (Fungle) and from summit of Mudlee Bracks fine gravel 'motorway size' track pretty much the whole way - wore trail shoes- half running when we could - switchback route over Mudlee Bracks and Mill of Cammie. NW freezing wind was 14 mph in valley but was a constant 47mph on summit (measured by a fellow walker in summit wind shelter) Rather excitingly this just qualifies as No 9 - a Strong / Severe Gale on the Baeufort Scale (47-54mph) which required an exciting battle on upper slope to and from cairn -linked arms helped. Returned same way into wind for a full body workout -body and arms as well as legs pushing against the wind. Left side of my face went numb - felt like Id been to the dentist. Fantastic 5 and half hours outing.Chris Pearson18/01/2020

From Tarfside, track all the way to top.Lindsay M06/05/2018
A long west to east round from Birse castle via all Graham tops from Gannoch to Peter Hill plus Baudnacauner. Quite a lost of track so speedy going. teeming with mountain hares which looked very conspicuous in the absence of snow.dickscroop19/02/2017
Solo. From car park at end of road at NO532906. Mount Battock via Mudlee Bracks and Hill of Cammie. From Mudlee Bracks followed a substantial track to Hill of Cammie. Highest point is adjacent to track. There is a cairn next to the electrified fence, but I don’t think this is the highest point. Raining.pwbellarby19/06/2016

Near summit of track branched off to Peter Hill. Then straight for Mount Battock. We continued to Loch Tennet, Hill of Cammie, Mudlee Bracks and the summit of Fungle Road. Walked down Fungle Road to Tarfside. Slight snow on ground at highest point. Warm in afternoon.pwbellarby14/11/1981
