Walked along track from Carn Dearg187lenny12/11/2023
Leathad an Taobhain and Carn Dearg Mor With John from the car park at Auchlean. Cycled along the road to just before the farm, then the path/track leading to the bridge over the river (Upper Glen Feshie), and then the road along to the Glenfeshie Lodge. Continued on a track S then SW to just before Lochan an t-Sluic, then parked the bikes and continued on foot. Followed the track to almost the summit of Leathad an Taobhain, before crossing the heathery grass to the summit. Returned down the same track to a junction just west of the lochan, and then headed NW up heathery slopes to the summit ridge of Carn Dearg Mor. Followed a path to summit, then descended SE sharply down to the bikes. Cycled back out the same way we came in. Cloudy but largely dry - total times: Ride in: 59min Walking the hills: 3h 58min Ride out: 36minmproudfoot20/08/2023
W Malky and Jackie, with a hangover, cycling from Tolvah until the road steepened just S of CDM, where we stashed bikes. Sunny later, stiff breeze. Glen Feshie beautiful. Some tracks on map no longer there - taken out deliberately as part of re-wilding. Met Anne Butler when parking. Rounsfell20/08/2023
Part two. Vehicle tracks shown on map from Slochd Mor have been grubbed up and planted with new trees. I tried taking line of old track but gave up and climbed open heathery slope. Better line back to track and then e-bike back down Glen Feshie - descent from Slochd Mor white knuckle with braking.langskill22/05/2023
3 of 4: From Carn Dearg Beag on an easy ATV track. With Tim.ChrisR05/02/2023
Biked down the Feshie from parking just north of the bridge at Tolvah. Walked from 825900 but the track on the east side of the forest does not appear to exist. The stalkers starts from the end of the 'new' access road. A ferocious wind made it difficult to move on the ridge and then the rain moved in on the return giving me a semi soaking. Just over 3 hour return thanks to the bike. Solo.bolton30/10/2022
Parked in woods along road to Drumguish (NN790997), cycled S along road in Glen Tromie to Bhran Cottage (tarmac S of Lynaberack Lodge), took track up to col between Meallach Bheag and Meallach Mhòr (v indistinct and boggy at first, much better further on), on tracks up N ridge to summit of Meallach Mhòr, continued E over Meall an Dubh-chadha, descended to col on intermittent ATV tracks, and up to track along N side of conifer wood SW of Carn Dearg, followed good track to ca NN818905, then up slopes to col and NE to summit of Càrn Dearg Mòr, returned along ridge on ATV tracks across col to summit of Carn Dearg, descended SW to wood and then along its W edge down to a new hydro (?) road ca NN799890, followed that to its end near ford at ca NN789891 (bridge being built?), along foot track on N side of Allt Bhran to dam at NN776893, crossed there, and took semi-paved road on S side, continuing to a bridge and back to Bhran Cottage, cycled back to Drumguish (6h55m [5h20m from Bhran])kdbennett09/06/2022

With Rod, Grant and John from Auchlean car park out and back. Early part of ridge path is an OS fantasy but going easy enough. Views spectacular in all directions.SS06/06/2022
After Leathad an Taobhain, proceded to woods edge and up Carn Dearg Mor, which is just a lump of a mountain. Hot sunny day. 9hrs 35mins.Jhimmy05/06/2022
From furthest Achlean car on mountain bike to woodland just below bealach between Carn dearg Mor and Carn Dearg. Return same way on hot, sunny day. Solo. Platinum Jubilee weekend and everywhere busy.DampandDusty04/06/2022
From Leathad an Taobhain. Up the east side of the planation, not too steep, reasonable ground, heather not too thick. Then along the easy track over Beag until the track evaporated, then freestyle north east then east across heather then through the woods emerging on the glen track a short distance south of Crion-alltan. Over the bridge where a newly wed couple were having photos taken, bride in full length wedding dress, groom in kilt. Back to Achlean.Owen B28/05/2022
Biked from Tolvah, good parking. The final hillside and ascent is a slog and the hill is replanted with wee trees to a suprising height. Note that the road shown on my 1:50000 from 82280 90134 to 81968 90595 has been removed by the estate.iangalbraith19/05/2022

Cold but dry and weak sunshine on me at cairn. From CDB (see log). Heck of a distance out to here, 3hrs 35 from car, though easy. Followed track S then back to GFeshie and nice easy 3 hr walk back through a fine glen. Saw nobody up top.niallp18/10/2020

On TGOC 2019. Ascended from a camp by the Allt Bhran. Continued to Leathad an Taobhain and then descended east to pick up the upper River Feshie, which I followed east to the Geldie. Warm and sunny.alistairpooler17/05/2019

From Ruigh-aiteachain bothy, on way out to Kingussie. Relatively easy ford of the Feshie then good tracks all of the way.Colin Crawford26/02/2019
Big walk up Glen Feshie from Achlean but it is a superb glen with fine river scenery- tracks, even a tarmac road section but worthwhile on a fine day. The track is intrusive in Slochd Mor, otherwise a fine way with tracks all the way and time to go onto Carn Dearg first (better views over the far Feshie valleys than from the Marilyn HP). The walk continued on fast, easy terrain to Carn Dearg Beag(qv) for my descent. Very dry conditions underfoot.pwheeler18/07/2018
Early start to get up there before the hot sun. Cycled up Glen Feshie from Tolvah junction as far as the 400m contour line, then tracks all the way up to summit. Down by more direct route.Topographer5727/06/2018

A glorious sunny day with a cool breeze. By bike to just past Bhran Cottage. Up Meallach Mhor starting up the Allt an Tulaich on a short ATV track, then easy going to the top. Over Meall an Dubh-cadha on a faint path, and then an ATV track to the bealach. Up rough stuff to Sgor Dearg, and easy short heather over Carn Dearg (there's an ATV track too). Ghastly track to Carn Dearg Mor, but nothing can spoil the view from the top. Down the track, then to the Allt Bhran. The path shown on the map is an OS fantasy, but it's a lovely walk down all the same. More pleasant to cross the river to the landrover track for the last part.Gill05/05/2017

Track carried on north all the way past trig pillar on Carn Dearg Beag then it seems to disappear into rough ground or I may have lost it in the dark. Back at car at 11:15pm after 42km (12km on bike).alda07/09/2016
