Circuit from Kincraig. Bus to Kingussie, estate track to Beinn Bhreac, then Cairn Dulnan and back to the Tiumpain group. An Suidhe on the way down. | mae | 12/06/2018 |
A long day from Balavil taking in this and the three tops on A' Bhuidheanach ridge. A good access track to just past the hut then a mixture of a few poor tracks (not on map) and rough ground until I got back to the track near the end of the day. I think Cairn Dulnan would be near impossible to find in cloud and even when you get there you have a football field size area of flat ground on which to decide where the summit is. I opted for the highest clump of heather! | dickscroop | 20/10/2015 |
From Balavil. After Bhreac, then to Chocaire. | RHW | 02/05/2014 |
Solo. From Ardvonne car park, Kingussie. To Pitmain Lodge and up track to summit of Carn an Fhreiceadain, Beinn Bhreac. Continued to point 701m. There is a rough track coming in from right. Continued on this track towards Cairn Dulnan, passing over minor top where there is a wind turbine. Left track to reach summit area of Cairn Dulnan, which is rather flat - highest point towards the N. Used track for descent, going off it past a bothy to reach a track going to Pitmain Lodge. | pwbellarby | 04/06/2012 |
