A' Ghlas Bheinn and Beinn Fhada from Morvich. Walk in through Gleann Choinneachain. Descent via Meall an Fhaurain Mhoir and Sgurr a Choire Ghairbhhummusg04/09/2023
Parked at Morvich for a circuit of 6 Simms and 1 HF. Onwards to Meall a' Bhealaich via the Bealach (very steep on S side, but doable by climbing SSE for about 100m before heading directly up). 5/7.PGCE03/06/2023

Parked at the NTS Morvich car park. Good path up the valley into Coire an Sgairne and up onto the Beinn Fhada plateau. Went to the western end at Meall an Fhuarain Mhoir and main top before returning to the valley and climbing to Bealach an Sgairne. Good path again up A' Ghlas bheinn, including its South top. Descended via the west ridge, turning WNW to reach the bridge where the Falls of Glomach path enters the wood and then SW through woods and footbridge back. Mainly in cloud with some snow flurries. Views on Fhada for lunch. With Gillian and Denise.richard6923/04/2023

I started from the road end at Morvich at about 0845. I kept up a steady pace with no breaks all the way to Bealach an Sgàirne, mostly retracing my steps from my Ben Fhada expedition the previous month. I saw a buzzard rise from the gorge on the way up. I slipped on a greasy boulder as I crossed the burn coming down from Allt a'Choire Chaoil; I felt a groin strain when stepping up for much of the rest of the day. A solo walker had followed me up to the bealach and passed as I eased my way down a greasy step on the ascent of A'Ghlas bheinn. We spoke at the cairn later. He was from Teeside, had been up for a week and this was his only Munro in an awful week weather wise. He decided to return by the ascent route (later emerged that he had no map) whilst I continued westward across A'Mhuc as advised in the Munro guide. Yes, the descent does get steeper and if you wish the way which fortunately I did not, then you could get into difficulties. On my way across the clearing at Dorusduain I salangskill27/05/2011

Standard route for Beinn Fhada & A'Ghlas-bheinn from the outdoor centre near Morvich. Beinn Fhada first, left the path before the top of Bealach an Sgairne avoiding the rockiest bits over Meall a'Bhealaich & then a fine walk to Beinn Fhada'a summit. Enjoyed the views on a warm sunny day as walked W to bag the top & then tried to find a direct route back to the bealach. Abandoned that & regained the path just W of the col, walked back up & then over the endless lumps & bumps to A'Ghlais-bheinn. Back to the bealach & the path.NotReallyABagger24/08/1999

Alone from car park in Strath Croe. A'Ghlas-bheinn was done first, then I dropped back down to the stalkers path to gain Beinn Fhada, taking in the western top before strolling back to the path for my descent. SS02/05/1988
Alone. From Innis a’ Chròtha. Over Faradh Nighean Fhearchair, Sgurr a’ Choire Ghairbh (interesting scramble on SE side), and Meall an Fhuarain Mhor to Beinn Fhada. Went on to Sgurr a’ Dubh Doire. I descended via Corie an t-Siosalaich and past Loch a’ Bhealaich. Just short of the top of Bealach na Sgairne went up the path to the north and then over many bumps to A’ Ghlas-bheinn. I descended the west ridge and had a bivvy halfway down. Much mist on the tops. The next day I descended to Innis a’ Chròtha.pwbellarby12/10/1985
