from Maol-buidhe bothy on way back out to Iron Lodge. Worth doing the whole ridge of 3 Tumps. Ascent of An Cruachan first and then descent of Beinn Bheag with return via lower track to path junction ( and the bulk of the luggage). Very dry conditions helped as lower path would otherwise be very boggy. | sarahk | 11/06/2023 |
1 of 2: Parked at the power station in Gleann Innis an Loichel. Hot, sunny and calm. With Karen. | ChrisR | 04/06/2022 |
Beinn Beag and An Cruachan after a terrible bivi (midges) just off west side. Then back to Iron Lodge. | dickscroop | 26/08/2021 |
Parked at the end of the road by the power station for a circuit of 1 Simm and 4 HFs. 3/5. Visited trig and several other tops. | PGCE | 17/06/2021 |
My final remaining unvisited trig pillar ... visited. Several summit contenders visited in poor conditions. Strathfarrar Last Trig Challenge: summit 2 of 11 from Loichel power sta in wind and rain. Via Fheadain. Crossed main streams upstrm of confluence - OK on a wet day. Then via S Top to An Socach. | RHW | 18/06/2015 |
