From Sligachan, via Cnoc a' Choire Riabhaich. Followed BaggerGutt's excellent directions. Onwards to Sgurr Beag.PGCE23/05/2023
Starting at the north col climb the initial rock face on the west. Gain the ridge line and follow until confronted by the main difficulties. Climb a small crack on the left giving a short scramble to regain the ridge line where you will see a low cave moving east to west. Scramble through this on hand and knees. This will bring you to the “yellow brick road” which leads you to the west face. Traverse on a faint path for 30m. From here climb on a leftward faint path back to the ridge line. You will be under a small buttress. This is the crux and offers a 4m rock climb (we abseiled this on our return). From the top of the climb it is an easy scramble along the ridge line to a cairn and then along the summit ridge to the summit rock. I would hate to route find this in poor visibility!BaggerGutt22/06/2019
Long walk in rather late... 6km on the Glen Sligachan track till under Marsco's west flank at the point where the Skye north south Watershed crosses, then followed it between the two lochans then down to cross the burn coming out of Harta Corrie and up the grassy SE flanks to the col beneath the north ridge. A crux move just below the summit felt a bit tricky for my level of inflexibility, but I had to go for it even though I worried about the downclimb back. It was okay and the little beast had been tamed. Skye TuMPs no 305. Two Simms left.vegibagger22/06/2018
With Bob and Karen from Sligachan to the Bloody Stone and then south ridge - at least it was supposed to be but grade well above a grade 3 scramble so I guess we pioneered a new line! Descent of N ridge and Sgurr Beag straightforward, returned to coll and down. Jumped short crossing a stream so fell into the bog!dickscroop26/05/2018
From Slig. Did SnG first but, being alone and new to these hills, couldn't get down onto Am Bhasteir so came to do this as a consolation. Quite glad I did to, it's phenomenal! Really quite jaw droppingly airy and tremendous views over the Cuillin. Wow.Jake99423/07/2008
