Logged Descriptions  (logged by 31 users)ByDate of Ascent
Parked as Carole at end of forest track. Followed the track to NJ0986 5034, then onto ATV track on the right. Left this after a bit, to go up dry drainage ditches towards the summit. Descended on the SE side of the fence, on good track, then less obvious old track to the fence post at NJ0985 5030, which we would have seen if we'd climbed up the embankment to look left from the track earlier. Better descent than ascent.LizH20/06/2023

Parked NJ 103509. Good track to NJ 098053. Belt of new trees for 320m - still young (2m tall) - old ATV (in wide break) continues intermittently up fence direct to trigcarole engel12/05/2022
Passed Coldwells and found a rough track west through new plantation.Campbell Singer27/09/2021
Finally made the trig point this time, snow was too deep last time we attempted.kittyhen28/05/2021
Easy route up Meikle Cairn from Rhynagoup - muirburn has its advantages. A track descends through the clear-felled bourach to the bealach with Meall Buidhe, from where there is an ATV track through a new plantation to the trig. Descended direct to Coldwells.sclater05/03/2021
Parked at roadside at end of Coldwells track. Some new forestry tracks (not currently showing on OS) get you to near trig / summit. Easier route back is to south-east side of fence to rejoin decent forestry track. Otherwise ground fairly lumpy.willyross29/02/2020
Parked up the track to Coldwells at 103509. Final hill in section 9A. With Karen and Sam. Excellent views.ChrisR31/03/2019
Bagging the trig.BigJ02/03/2017
A great evening work-out up deep heathery slopes from the bend in the track to Coldwells. Alternatively follow the track to it's high point and then along fence line.RichardM16/05/2016
Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log: Parked at Blackmire (up the track from the road there is a great parking spot), followed the track up to the fence line and headed up, holey heather with some bog trotting, hard on the wee mans legs. Decided to try and pick up the track at Lone Hill, bad move may as well have followed the fence line back as much easier ground, good views to Findhorn.thejackrustles12/05/2015
