I managed to park in front of a comms dish compound without blocking access (NH507118), just downhill of which a track starts steeply up. This follows the Allt Mhor to end at a water intake works at the stream junction NH503108, from where a rough path continues up for a short while before petering out in veg. Everywhere was a flowing sheet of water after 15 days of rain, but splish splashed up to Meall nan Aighean Bheag. Down to the shoulder of Craig an Loin and a descending TR around its NE slopes to Glac an Loin (not as craggy as the map suggests). Up to the bealach NE of Beinn Mheadhoin, then the dilapidated fence to the top, avoiding entanglement in the old wires. From the Glac an Loin, an An Tk gloops around the SE perimeter deer fence, back to the Allt Mhor, which was in shin deep spate – you may as well fill yer boots here as the bog between here and the up tk will fill them anyway | Isbjorn | 04/10/2023 |
Parked near Ardochy (nobody around to check permissions). Followed forest track till end of new woodland, went through gate (to avoid crossing deer fence) then headed left (north-east) alongside fence and on to summit area. | willyross | 04/07/2023 |
I parked by the gate above River Fechlin - NH504122 - and followed a newish track west, then over felled areas to open hill. Straightforward ascent. On to Meall nan Aighean Beag | Colin Crawford | 18/06/2023 |
Parked on verge by road to NW just beyond Beinn a Vein house. Easy slopes and through a gate in the deer fence. Also sub tump Carn na Gobhar. Then crosses to Meall nana Tarsaid. | Adrian | 06/09/2022 |
Parked at a gate a few hundred metres before Ardochy Farm. Up what is now a forest track to the gate out of the forest at NH48060 11185. Followed an animal track from there up through the heather and along the fenceline, then up to the summit. Good rocky wee hill. | LizH | 24/08/2022 |
