An appropriate hill to visit this morning with 50mph wind and driving rain however quite sheltered in amongst the trees. Walking out from town across the Kessock Bridge was interesting though ... | Alex C | 31/01/2024 |
Took the red route from the forest car park up through the pleasant open pine and fir woods to the large summit cairn within the Pictish hill-fort. Then over the NE top before a steep slippery descent on a bit of a path to join the grit track round the hill SSW back to the car park. Solo. 3.7km, with 120m of ascent. | Man of Kernow1 | 29/10/2023 |

Short walk on red route to ancient fort with cairn from free carpark in pines with heather under storey. Also visited trig on rock outcrop. Breaking our journey north. | Denise | 11/06/2022 |
The red route from Kessock Wood car park. A delightful open airy forest very reminiscent of those in Finland. Final approach on path through low bank of rocks to large summit cairn on outcropping conglomerate. | RichardM | 11/06/2022 |
With Brian from the CP on our way to Torridon. | Play2End | 03/06/2022 |
Wandered through woods, red route takes you to the trig. Sunny but 70mph winds on the Munros, so this seems better. | iangalbraith | 08/03/2022 |
From the car park to the SW. A pleasant walk through
the trees on the red signs with Mrs M. | bolton | 28/02/2022 |
From FC CP at NH654488. Clockwise around red circuit. In descent, track splits with two red markers visible, leaving one uncertain. I went L. Path to viewpoint cuts back sharply L. Navigationally, better to go around anti-clockwise. | Isbjorn | 26/02/2022 |

From North Kessock car park, N side A9. Mapped tracks through forest not located making this a bit of a mare from this direction, but all worked out eventually following paddock boundaries and picking up the track at NH 6560 4850 after short section through well-spaced conifers. With Carole Engel for outward leg. | jonglew | 08/04/2018 |

Parked in the car park to the SW. A pleasant walk on tracks took us to the summit. Visited both summit candidates but I thought the cairned top seemed higher. With JT. | Sprog | 15/02/2018 |
A nice easy hill worthy of a quick detour from the A9. Would be even better if some of the pine could be thinned out to give a view over the Moray Firth. | summitter | 21/01/2018 |
