Firstly many thanks to Eddie for pointing out the summit wasn't the trig point. I would have made the same mistake. Boo Sue and I. Sue made the trig point Boo and I went the extra mile to climb another 2 metres. I'm not sure if I'd just stood on top of the trig point I would have achieved the same height and saved myself a long walkAlphaville19925/04/2023
Walked up through the sparse woodland at the bottom over very rough vegetation, quite exhausting till a bit higher up. Then along the ridge from the Trig to the actual high point further NE. Down a slightly different way to the old ruins onto a track but still pretty rough underfoot. The high point of the Island so worth the effort.nickywood121/04/2022

Got permission to park at one of the houses at Clabhach. Through a gate and followed path and animal tracks to a gap in the wall, then a pleasant walk up to the trig point and on to the summit. Carried on to Cnocan na Ban, Dun Dubh and Beinn Tioraidh.LizH22/08/2019
Parked bike at ruins to the north. There is a path from here to the trig making this hill very easy. Went to summit first and then back via the trig. A fence was being built at the col between the tops. Sunny with big views.fasgadh01/08/2019

On clockwise circuit of W Coll by foot. Easier from N rather than NW. Wind and rain.Thearlaichdubh02/09/2018
Roadside verge parking (NM 1775 5830). Walked 140m NE back to a field gate, then near enough straight up to the trig first then across to the top. In wind and rain. On to Cnocan na Ban over some boggy ground.jonglew02/09/2018
Enough time to visit this in the two and a bit hours the ferry takes to go to Tiree and back, if you take a bike.mae10/10/2016
(N.B. Summer 2016 ferry timetable allows 8½ hours ashore on Wednesdays and 10 hours on Saturdays in July and August.) After Dùn Dubh. Track from sharp bend in B8071 at Clabhach to foot of north ridge, up to Clach na Ban-rìgh, trig point, then actual summit. Warm sun and stiff breeze. View hazy as on Dùn Dubh, but now including Iona. Descent SE towards Cnocan na Ban.mainnirnamfiadh11/05/2016
From Parking at end of road near Hebridean Centre. Round end of Loch, and up tussocky slopes. To Trig, and Clach na Ban-righ; then out ridge, to Summit Cairn. Great weather and views. With M and the F.C.The Captain11/05/2016

What a silly person. Spent so much time trying to climb Queen's Stone just went to the trig, despite the far summit marked-up on my map, I then ran off!Eddie30/05/2015
Bagged trig and then the real top with Iain Brown and Martin Richardson before a circuit of 3 more TuMPs on an improving afternoon.Dugswell210/05/2014
Fine hill from the Hebridean Centre. Regular path to trig, but obviously not many people carry on to the summit.Or do what we do and cross over to Cnocan na Ban.Martin R10/05/2014

Trig and P30 circuit from Arinagour - Coll Day 1 RHW24/08/2013
6 hours ashore on Coll on Thursdays. Arrived at 11.00. Cycled and pushed bike for about an hour. Clamber up on ridge to a large erratic boulder perched on 3 stones. It looked so artificial that I looked for a Millenium plaque to show how it had got there. Trig column 3674 at 104m is just beyond the highest point at 106m. Small mossy cairn. Lunga and Dutchman's Hat in view. Waited 3 hours for return boat. No sign (or sound) of corncrakes needless to say.arranc21/06/2012

Cycled from Coll hotel and climbed up to the Trigpoint. Maps now show a higher point of 106m to the SE but trig appeared to be highest point on the ground.andy07/04/2003
