Microspikes and ice axe essential, glorious conditions w frozen snow galore.NorfolkPT2112/01/2024
A round of tops: Meall Odhar, Druim Mor, Little Glas Maol and Creag Leacach SW Top via Glas Maol and Creag Leacach. Started at the Devil's Elbow parking area and walked up the side of the road to the top of the pass, then headed up the partially snow-covered path to Meall Odhar, across to Glas Maol, then countoured around the 1000m line to the bealach between Glas Maol and Carn of Claise. Before reaching Carn of Claise, headed SE up to Druim Mor. Returned back to Glas Maol the same way, and once again contoured around - this time to Little Glas Maol. Headed back to Glas Maol and this time reached the summit, before heading over the ridge to Creag Leacach, then around to the SW top, and then dropped down to just before Meall Gorm, then then down to All Coire a' Bhathaich, and followed that back out to the Devil's Elbow. Blue skies and freezing winds for the most part, though the soft snow with a thin crusty top layer made it a little tougher going than expected. Total Time 6h 43mimproudfoot06/01/2024
Monega Hill and Glas Maol round from Glen Isla, Walkhighlands routehummusg13/05/2023
Parked at the ski centre (£3 in the cafe or online with a printer!). Green run up to pick up the track to Meall Odhar and Glas Maol before grassy descent to Little Glas Maol and contour round to Bathach Beag and ridge to Creag Leacach and SW Top. Descent via col to NW and dropping down to car park on the road. 40min walk back up to ski centre. Cold, windy day but clear. With Gillianrichard6920/04/2023
From Connecting Contours CP, up Leacann Dubh to Meall Odhar (revisited), along the traverse path to the cairn at Bathaich Beag, contouring onwards to Little Glas Maol and Monega Hill, returning across the southern flanks of Glas Maol, then along the Leacach ridge to Cul Riabhach, Creag Leacach (revisited), CL SW Top and Meall Gorm, descending heathery slopes back to Connecting Contours. An unconventional but varied route, visiting two Munro Tops and another that I had crossed but can't remember whether I visited the summit. Monega Hill has fine views over Caenlochan Glen to the imposing crags of Druim Mor.Nick Down103/07/2022
OMC Meet at Muir Cottage, Inverey. Parked at connecting contours layby south of ski centre, went up with Rob Trusswell. I struggled with the ascent up to the bleacah south oc Meall Gorm. No views from the Munro Top, stiff breeze.chillyman830/01/2022
