Hired Electric MTB for the day for a few hills accessible from wind farm track. On way back from Beinn an Tuirc, left bike by turbine to west and plodded to top over rough ground. | PeterD | 12/06/2023 |
Drove 40km of logging and wind farm roads for this and a few other hills. Parked to NW at NR 7499 3439. 1.7km up and down over bad ground mostly. Drove round to Sgreadan Hill | jonglew | 21/05/2023 |
7th top of 8 on a 30km+ circuit from near Arnicle, continuation from Meall Buidhe, headed Nne to reach a track following it up past the forest line then headed Ne to the top, getting a higher reading on the Knoll to the West of the 406m spot height. Nice top with great views. Continuation to Beinn an Turc... | Dazingdale | 15/05/2023 |
Not nearly as hard as it looked from the head of Glen Saddell | Kiltie | 21/03/2022 |
From Beinn an Tuirc via Kintyre Way. Decided to follow track S of summit despite raffemeister's warning. This track is now arguably more dense forest than the rest of the forest - there's sporadic paths on it but not worth any benefit over a more direct line. Summit hard going, then descended W to nearest wind turbine (decided not to go NNW due to crags). | quadbarrel | 30/05/2021 |
From Saddell House, quick run to get rid of the hangover. Followed track up Saddell Glen to just beyond outdoor classroom. Jumped over gate on RHS. Straight up steep slopes and actus to summit. Tried to return to a track within forestry plantation due south of summit. This track no longer exists (very overgrown) and plantation hard work. Advise steering clear of the trees. | raffemeister | 22/09/2018 |
400m, rough grass. From E, wide gateway just E of ifferdale cottage, thru gate, grassy track N then straight up, decent grassy thru crags, tussocks & reeds above | RHW | 05/11/2011 |
