Left summit at 7pm to go and hunt for path among the heather and the Glittering Skellies, which were not glittering in the dark. Path was quite good. Back at car at Clova at 10pm after 31km and only one brief shower, the driest hill day for several weeks.alda06/10/2018

With friend. From Spittal of Glenmuick on bikes to Glas-allt-Shiel. Objective: all Munro tops of Broad Cairn and Cairn Bannoch. No stalking today. Up the stalkers’ path to Corrie Chash. We had lunch at bothy. We continued up the track which becomes more of a path towards Broad Cairn and reached the summit of Broad Cairn. We aimed for the col between Cairn of Gowal and Craig of Gowal. There was something of a ramp leading up to the col. We reached the summit of Craig of Gowal. The highest point (927m) is at the NW end of the summit ridge, which is broad with a slight rise on it. We saw that there was a cairn at the other end of the ridge so we walked to it in case it was higher, but that did not seem to be the case. I also went to another point near the cairn as this might have been higher. We wanted to be sure that we did indeed reach the summits of the various tops. Continued to Crow Craigies, Fafernie, Cairn Bannoch, Cairn of Gowal, Creag an Dubh-loch.pwbellarby06/09/2013

Solo walk. From Auchallater. I walked to Lochcallater Lodge and then on footpath that goes across SW slopes of Carn an t-Sagairt Mòr, then to the summit of Cairn Bannoch. I continued over the Munro Top called Cairn of Gowal (991m) and Cairn of Gowal (983m) to Craig of Gowal. I returned to Cairn of Gowal and Cairn Bannoch and went round to the summit of Fafernie. Returned to join the outward route back to Auchallater. The first two hours were dry. Then there was torrential rain and much mist and a little snow. There was much flooding on the road making driving hazardous.pwbellarby14/10/2001

Solo round of the White Mounth Munros & tops from Spittal Of Glenmuick on a partly cloudy day. Meikle Pap, Cuidhe Crom, Cac Carn Mor & Beag & then easy walking over Creag a'Ghlas-uillt, Eagles Rock, Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach, Carn an t-Sagairt Beag & Mor. Turned for inward stretch bagging the remaining Munros & most of the tops. Dropped down to the loch using the track. As dusk approached, the lochside heaved with deer, none of which took any notice of a tired walker!NotReallyABagger17/09/1989
