Via useful route instructions of LizH. | willyross | 12/03/2024 |
3 of 4: After Scout Hill we drove to 348421 and used the notes by LizH. At the 1st bend there is forestry work underway but we turned NE away from it. No one approached us. with Karen. | ChrisR | 23/01/2023 |
Fae the forestry road tae the N. Ye'd hae thocht fae the map that the final straicht bit heidin SW wid be a muckle track but it isnae - it's gey roch. There's an easier route just a bittie NE fae the tap, which heids doon aside a clearin wi new braidleaf plantin and back ontae the main track. | sclater | 13/06/2022 |
From Parkmore where I was staying, forest roads to 34971 41852 then up between forest edge and cleared area. Then some gorse on way to top. | NormanW | 21/04/2022 |
Parked on B9014 then followed forestry road up hill before walking along a firebreak to summit. | 187lenny | 26/01/2020 |
Parked at the end of the track at NJ3483 4214. Followed the zig-zag track to NJ34970 41855, then up an animal path along the mature forest edge, and along the edge of gorse, crossing the fence at NJ34975 41493 to reach the summit. | LizH | 22/01/2020 |
From the parking spot on main road and following tracks. Could have driven closer up them but the dog needed a walk. W Henx and Bryher. | nordicstar | 24/01/2018 |
Forest track (ungated) from B9014 to NE ridge then easily along margin of newly planted forest to open summit area of grass/ heather and gorse. High point is large mound crossed by wire fence on S side of comms mast. Flattened cairn of grey slate rocks. | RichardM | 28/06/2016 |
Chrisbien route, back same way. Early morning wander on good forest roads catching up on a few dozen logs from last few days in Far North | RHW | 23/06/2016 |
parked at layby at 358422 and followed the obvious roads, then struck up SW up an obvious lane - one side now felled, negotiating windblown timber, barbed wire and gorse on the way. Another good viewpoint though | Thearlaichdubh | 06/05/2014 |
P 3485 4215. Track to 346 413. Then unmarked track almost to top which is on E side of fence. Took the virtually imaginary track NE to descend. Mistake. | chrisbien | 06/06/2011 |
