From Crowlet as others up the forest track past wind turbine. At an excavated opening the track goes to the right through the gorse. Leaving wood into new plantation. At high point climbed deer fence return same way. 2/3 HuMP.N.Morters10/03/2024
Overgrown track from the water-works lay-by near Croylet, moving into the adjacent field once the first turbine is reached. Quite a bit of barbed-wire and gorse to negotiate en route. Returned down the stubble field as far less prickly.summitter30/09/2023
2 of 3: After Old Fir Hill we drove to 527592. Clear track to the comms mast, then a short distance by the fence. With Karen.ChrisR07/01/2023
Parked by Croylet covered reservoir, west of a house called Croylet. Headed N up forest track to a turbine then turned E into a stubble field, went NW of Lurghill wood and then on to thick pathless heather. Level summit area with no cairn; abney used; aerial lower. Lovely views of a patchwork of green and gold fields. Continued NW into mature conifer plantation to mapped 312m SH- hard to say, probably lower. Whole route was generally pathless and boggy.Denise 18/09/2022
Usual route from the reservoir layby. Also visit the other contour ring involving a wander around in the forest but I think all lower.RichardM18/09/2022
From the Croylet reservoir up the track, turning right at the first turbine and easily to top.NormanW22/04/2022
Visited both points.hill walker18/09/2021
Start at road junction 523615 and follow track. Can take track uphill towards trig of Hill of Summertown. Feasible just now but trig is in middle of rapidly growing young plantation.Track follows ridge out to Lurg hill.sarahk11/04/2020
Parked at the double gates east of Croylet. Up through the small wood, following sheep tracks. Wandered towards the forest, but the ground seemed to drop away there.LizH20/01/2020
From big double gates near Croylet. Pretty easy route to top except for 5 strand barbed wire fence. With B and R.jenx29/12/2019
Parked near Croylet then walked up track to Loanhead of Myrietown then up to summit through Lurghill Wood. Returned same way.187lenny28/07/2019
