Dusk walk up from road to the east One hour 50mins round trip. Foolishly hadn't consulted my map and seen it also has the lower tump to NE just behind the Loch, | vegibagger | 28/08/2022 |
Road verge parking at Saltness. Over gate and followed track west into the Glen of the Berry. Trackless moorland up to the cairn on Little Berry then short walk to the trig. Back the same way. Lots of Bonxies up here. | Dangerous Dave | 07/08/2022 |
Drove to pumping stn. Skird Hill first then on to here. After, had a look for the ghost Sweinn Geo stacks (couldn't find them), then returned via S shore of Heldale Water. | jonglew | 05/08/2022 |
From Heldale Water pumping station via Skird Hill. Returned same way. | Minto | 05/08/2022 |
Followed track and dry(ish) paths to Little Berry in thick mist and round to main top as weather cleared. | Tony S | 04/05/2022 |
With Jen and Bryher up the peat cutters track. Dry as a bone, Little Berry as well of course. | nordicstar | 27/07/2018 |
A nice stroll with lots of bonxies for company. | jenx | 27/07/2018 |
Track followed by easy gradual ascent on surprisingly dry ground. Lost a ski glove somewhere on way up. | Campbell Singer | 03/04/2015 |
Under some pressure to get back in time for the ferry. Approached from the west after some excellent coastal walking. | Alex C | 06/06/2014 |
Track from Saltness. With Alan and George to Berry then alone to Skird and Binga Fea. Mobbed by Skuas between Berry and loch below Binga. Met Rob Woodall near the road. | chrisbien | 06/06/2014 |
Track then moorland to bag this trig in the mist with Jim Bloomer and Tricky Speirs. | Dugswell2 | 30/05/2014 |
Followed the peat-cutters track from Saltness into Glen of the Berry which I bet is like a giant sponge in wet weather. Cairn dominates skyline, the trig is over to right. Great views of whole northern coastline of Scotland. Went for look at the Needle and other delights. Back via dunes & Melsetter farm. | Martin R | 17/05/2012 |
Revisit. From ESE, obvious track, boggy-tussocky for a while then good terrain but many Bonxie territories so was under constant attack. As I nearly trod on 2 nests I was lucky they didn't fix bayonets I guess! Last trig of an 8 day Orkney trip, almost entirely rain free. | RHW | 04/06/2010 |
