Off the ferry from Barra at 7.45am and all four Eriskay tops bagged by 9.30am. Parked at Ferry CP and then anti-clockwise circuit of Beinn Cracabhaig, Beinn Stac, Cnoc Pairceanan and Beinn Sgritheann. Continued hot conditions meant it was an easy wander along sheep, cow and deer trods and across bone-dry sphagnum for most of the way. There is actually a waymarked path to and from Beinn Sgritheann from road to the west, which makes things even simpler. A celebratory breakfast in the Kilbride cafe completed a great morning. | summitter | 14/06/2023 |
From layby parking near ferry. Direct climb to Beinn Cracabhaig then across to Beinn Stac. Return to beallach and down to Acairseid and road to start. Hot and sunny. | RobertP | 13/06/2023 |
Park at harbour car park at Acairseid Mhòr, then back along road to minor road on left which is followed to a path to the 12 stations of the cross painted on the rock face ascending to a cross. So up to the cross then to ruin then up to two gates where fence can be crossed to allow access to hill where route is easy enough to summit. | Dugswell2 | 08/06/2022 |

Quick bag straight up after 09:25 ferry ex Barra. Quite rough along the ridge but views made it worthwhile. Saw BP Charlie cairn on beach near foot | Thearlaichdubh | 05/06/2019 |
After ascending Ben Scrien and Cnoc Pairceanan and descending to Pairceanan. Walked along rather rough road to west end of Acairseid Mhòr. Went up past Stations of the Cross, which are on a cliff, and then S to Ben Stack. Went a bit E of N to reach the road on the descent – a bit easier. Along road to ferry terminal for return to Barra. Weather good. | pwbellarby | 03/06/2019 |

CW circuit of The Eriskay Trio - Ma-Tu-Hu. Visited the first two hills with Charlie (one of yesterday's Barra Head five island team). Charlie went back to his car for adventures further north & I carried on to the third hill. Had an hour to kill before ferry back to Barra - strolled along white sands, etc. | ger | 24/05/2018 |
Local bus service. All 3 Eriskay hills done. This one via trackless west ridge and then directly down to Acairseid Mhor | trimarc2 | 10/10/2017 |

From the harbour immediately to north of hill. Ample parking behind harbour and then along minor road. At bend in road look back and see the 12 stations of the cross painted on the rock face ascending to a cross. Leave road shortly after and make another ascent. | Campbell Singer | 12/04/2016 |
