Parking on grass verge just E of road high point (NO197265). Gate and ATV tk. Best line is along side of E BWF, to meet double BWF with rickety plank stiles, then heather and rough grass to topIsbjorn25/09/2023
From the road summit to the E - via small double stile.summitsup23/04/2023
From Scone Old Church, up Den of Scone to McDuff's Monument & along to Murray shall Hill. NE descent, unpathed but OK to Easthill. Mainly tracks over Law Hill and on awkward core paths to Pole Hill - finding start near Shien Hill was worst & involved leaving good track at gate before track high point. Core path was an ankle turner. Last core path SE to Pole Hill was OK but fence to climb on awkward stile. Returned due W initially pathless but soon hit farm track. Didn't turn S to Goddens but continued NW through fueld, gates & gated forestry. Past ruin to same awkward gate on core path. Return by core paths mainly W through Wester Bonhard, Spoutwells & around Scone Wood.Lynnebe01/03/2023
As others from the high point of the road. Great viewpoint, even on a less than perfect day.hillsman25/11/2022
From the adjacent road high point and over the wobbly double stiles. Nice view of the Tay.Nick Down116/09/2022
Short walk over grassy field from high point to NE on road, double stiles then heathland to top.N.Morters20/06/2021
Gate SE of pt 249 to NE of Hill. Through gate, cross field, at top L is a double stile across the 2 BWFs. Follow faint tread to summit.Belfarm 24/07/2020
Short walk from high point of the road at NE aspect of hill.willyross05/07/2020
Along core path from Murrayshall which starts off well, so long as you like cows, then vanishes into the gorse. Lots of barbed wire.daviemore21/06/2020
Local walk whilst visiting relatives: From Scone P&R walked via A94 and local roads with ascent from NE. Returned along ridge and paths aroud Murrayshall. Remarkably expansive views for such an insignificant looking hill. Everything from Vorlich, Chonzie, Schiehallion, Beinn a'Ghlo, Glenshee, Tay and Dundee, Fife Lomonds.benalder28431/05/2020

Parked near the high point of the minor road NNE of the hill. Through a gate and along a vehicle track, crossing some boggy ground. Two small stiles cross barbed wire fences straight ahead at the top of the field. Good views of the Tay estuary and Dundee.LizH17/11/2019
From the minor road to the east. 360 views. 5 out of 5.Play2End02/07/2019
Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log: Parked at gate for a short stroll to the pillar which is visible from the road. Even has styles to assist you crossing the fences. Grabbed the geocache as well.thejackrustles30/06/2019
From the road junction to the west. Missed a path and almost reached Arnbathie. Then south to the edge of the crags, west until a path down appeared. At the base, west again to where the Goddens track crosses the burn.Pete R09/02/2019
Very easy up from high point on road. With B and R.jenx11/11/2018
Easy parking at roadside to NE w Jenx and Bryhernordicstar11/11/2018
From road to Shanty. Misty, but occasional partial weather windows through which views were good.ger04/09/2017
From gate on Kilspjndie Road, over stiles to Trig summit. Smashing views.summitter20/08/2017
Via Shien Hill.Chris Peart23/05/2017
Solo trip. Surrounded by dog-proof fences (unless you can lift your dog over the baebed wire).Invicta1403/05/2017
From good space for parking by gate at road summit above Evelick (GR: 197265). I followed the fence, accessed through the gate and along a track shown on the map, that runs roughly SE then turns SW, finding a plank across a very boggy dip and stiles over the barbed wire fence. With a trod through the heather and fine views over the Firth of Tay, this was a nice way to spend half an hour, albeit on an unassuming hillpwheeler25/03/2017
Parked at 197265. Stiles over BW fences at 19606 26281.NormanW18/03/2017
Cool sunny breezy day, unexpectedly met Smudge and joined him for ascent. En route to Shetland in new car.Denise 17/04/2016
Perth Airport to Scone. Chance meeting with Richard & Denise Mclellan before starting along track from NO166261 which turned out to lack continuity (fence climbing required) after Shien Hill.Smudge17/04/2016
Approach by wet and indistinct farm tracks from the W then grassy field to summit topped by trig point on grassy mound / tumulus? Unexpected company of Smudge having met him setting off from the road.RichardM17/04/2016
From high point on minor road to the east.robertphillips15/11/2015
Gate, stile then trig on sunny afternoon.Dugswell229/07/2015

From near high point of road to E. Gate into field. Aim for top left hand corner - small stile over fence. Summit "fence" marked on OS 1:25K map looks like an old ditch around the summmit - which looks man-made too.Minto19/11/2011
Short ascent from the road. There is a stile on the top left hand side of the field that gets you on to the moor. Great views, as usual for the Sidlaws.fasgadh25/07/2010
Lots of cars parked on the road - remote control plane outing.chrisbien01/05/2010
