From Woodmill with Brian.Play2End21/03/2021
Parked in the church car park just northeast of Grange of Lindores. The track to the old Kirk (worth a look-see) turned into a walk through a grazed field and signposted trail to the railway alongside Lindores Loch. Once at the end of a woodland we headed due-south to the secondary then main summit through a mix of beech-pine wood and open grazing, hopping over a couple of fences and gate along the way. Returned via Berryhill, aiming towards the tennis court within the walled garden.summitter26/02/2021
From the west, went through farm area, then followed fence uphill. Descended by following fence all the way through scrub & then over a gate onto unclass road, avoiding the farm. Linked with Black & Woodheads Hills. The Fife Flyer21/02/2021

After Woodheads, straight up through fields from S of Black Loch. Easy track along the crest of ridge from Woodmill is what I should have takenThearlaichdubh28/12/2016
Parked easily. Track to the top easy. Making of an impressive cairn on summit.Play2End28/12/2015
Got parked ok at Woodmill, space for 1 car near a tip. Track starts 100m west and goes all the way to the top, very easy bag, 40 mins. No livestock (:hils05/10/2015
Parked near Woodmill then used to track to bag Cowden Hill then returned down track. Then up field towards Woodheads Hill which has Grange Hill trig near the summit. parked at woodmill track to the top.robertphillips20/02/2015
Parked on verge at start of track at Woodmill - considerately mown by local farmer. Follow tractor track ALL the way to summit. (It heads off level to west at one point)Minto27/09/2014
From East from B937 [to avoid cows on track from Woodmill]. As expected, lots of gorse.russell6105/04/2013
Up from just south of Woodhead, parked at NO258153. The road was flooded. Easy avoidance of whins approaching the summit from the north. A lot of ground is not in production, left for game, so undergrowth will get worse.fasgadh11/08/2011
Parking tricky. Eventually settled on approach from SW by Black Loch. Excitable cattle, but nice hill once you're up.agentmancuso16/04/2011
Parked at woodmill and followed track almost to the top.chrisbien08/05/2010
pleasant grassy summit, nice view. from road to E, across rough pasture & up break in gorse; +/- unfeasible from W due to fierce scrub RHW25/12/2003
Pleasant wander round Black Hill, Woodheads Hill, Cairnie Hill, and Cowden Hill from Abdie Church. Shooting track from near Woodmill leads to north of hill then short walk south to top.daviemore22/12/2002
