Parked to north, a bit west Balchriston Lodge. Followed tracks which don`t seem to match the 1:25,000. Nice hill and a nice afternoon. | colazione | 30/01/2024 |
As others, used the forestry track and paths Not difficult at all. There and back 1hr 30mins | Andrew Simmons | 11/01/2023 |

From bend in road parking from the east just above West Enoch. 1 of 3 damp drizzle. Tall soaking wet grass and waist high bracken in places made the tracks a soggy walk, one for a dry day. | N.Morters | 07/08/2022 |

My first opportunity to use the new Maybole Bypass. Excellent hill paths and tracks popular with mountain bikers. Superb views to south and west on way up and from trig. | lordtonult | 29/05/2022 |
The track just west of west enoch is in fact a road, with space to park when it turns sharp south. I followed the tracks shown on the map. This hill is locally popular, there are tracks, paths and dog poo bags everywhere, but they do end up at the top easily enough, which is just as well, this hill would be a total jungle without them. Head slightly west of the trig for wonderful views... | hils | 18/10/2021 |
Walked up from Maybole. Footpath all the way to start of fishery road to ENE, then used mountain bike trails to get to summit which is a good viewpoint. Final 27A TuMP. | Thearlaichdubh | 10/01/2020 |
Parked at NS26040 10747, at the end of what was a forest track, but now more of a path on the other side of a bit of tree trunk. Straight on up through a mature pine forest, which was easy to walk through, then through grass, bracken and heather to the summit. Lovely views out to Ailsa Craig. | LizH | 09/06/2019 |

6th and final hill of the day on a route from Ayr to Maybole but climbed Kirkland Hill from Achensoul first before dropping rucksack off in Maybole and car back in Ayr then climbing Heads of Ayr, Brown Carrick Hill, Drumshang and Knoweside, exploring the knolls, profiling around to the lovely Glen and waterfall at NS27137 11967 continuing East above the gorseline to avoid the skittish cows in yonder field, South past property called Old Trees to B7023 then straight over on ride/track taking next left then right before heading up through some attractive mature gnarly conifers on wet grass then through tracks clearly designed for mountain bikes before emerging at NS28864 10077 to follow a path direct to the trig. Windy conditions meant a short stay, I dropped down SE then through bluebells & bracken to large field over to gate and track (near Mochrum Loch) and followed this all the way to the B road and then back via that to Maybole, surprised to see it has a pavement all the way! | Dazingdale | 13/05/2017 |
Straight up and down from 260107, fighting through bracken after wood. | Eddie | 18/09/2016 |
Parked at the sharp corner to east after I followed the fishery signs from the B7023. Then into the woods to use path/ mountain bike route upwards towards summit. Other routes look covered by high bracken so beware. | Dugswell2 | 03/06/2016 |
Tock. Not at same time. | Martin R | 03/06/2016 |
Summit at 16:20. Parked at bend in road to the fishery, from where path heads up hill. Didn't see anyone on the hill, but saw 'mae' walking up the road afterwards, and apparaently U.S. was the car parked next to me on my return. | Minto | 03/06/2016 |
Another fine and sunny day. Walked up from the Range caravan park. There seems to be lots of paths up here and came back through the bluebells to the bend along the fishing road. Plenty of gorse too. | Walker Dan | 12/05/2016 |
parked at bend on minor road path through woods to the trig. | robertphillips | 21/01/2015 |
Ascended from A719 to north. Used forest tracks then headed straight up through dead undergrowth. Good views along the coast. | quadbarrel | 19/02/2012 |
Parked at the start of the road to Mochrum Loch. The track from the east disappears on the 250m contour. Once out of the trees there is a path of sorts but certainly no track. | chrisbien | 27/03/2010 |
