| Parked just beyond end of public road (NS 7926 2351). This is now a main access route for a new wind farm, but the road is gated beyond here, so drive ups may not be a future option (the new WF road skirts Auchendaff Hill well to the N and proceeds on to Gart Law). From parking did Hartwood Hill -> Auchendaff Hill -> Gart Law -> Wedder Dod before taking a near enough direct line across tussocky and potentially very wet ground to here, from where all of today's hills could be clearly seen. To return, dropped down short distance to pick up good mapped farm road back to car for a 9 mile round over some very poor ground. | jonglew | 23/10/2021 |

| Parked at end of surfaced road. Nice profile of hill on the other side of the glen. Track towards Shawhead, down and over river. Farmer asked if I would like a lift.
