From the road end in Glentaggart. Onto Gart LawAndrew Simmons09/04/2023
After Hartwood, along road from the end of the Glentaggart road and up reasonable grass slopes. Clear with fine views.fasgadh30/03/2023
From the end of the much-wider, but muddy public road to the east. Parked in what looked like a lay-by after checking with a construction manager parked there. No access problems, but was asked to avoid Gart Law.Minto19/11/2021
From the end of the public road to the NE which is now a muddy access road for new windfarm access road construction. Decided against other tumps due to construction activity.NormanW19/11/2021
Parked just beyond end of public road (NS 7926 2351). This is now a main access route for a new wind farm, but the road is gated beyond here, so drive ups may not be a future option (the new WF road skirts Auchendaff Hill well to the N and proceeds on to Gart Law). From parking did Hartwood Hill -> Auchendaff Hill -> Gart Law -> Wedder Dod before taking a near enough direct line across tussocky and potentially very wet ground to here, from where all of today's hills could be clearly seen. To return, dropped down short distance to pick up good mapped farm road back to car for a 9 mile round over some very poor ground.jonglew23/10/2021
With Claire. Parked at bottom of access track for Hartwood Hill.MickyRoss19/03/2021
Parked in lay-by at the end of the road. Good tracks then short climb up over mainly rough grass. Grey, windy and squally showers.benalder28415/11/2020
Parked as for Hartwood Hill, track over bridge to junction, left and follow up (ignore track to right)to top turn left for approx 50mtrs then right on atv track which takes you to summit.Anton29/08/2020
Parked in a layby near the end of the tarmac road up Glen Taggart. Pleasant walk up the track towards Shawhead, where the small forest is being felled. Left at the track junction, and a short walk over rough grass to the summit. First post 'Covid-19 lockdown' Hump.LizH04/07/2020

Was tempted to drive on estate road, however had just paid £100+ for a new tyre earlier so resisted and walked. Bracing. Parking space at NS79245 23500Martin R07/01/2014
Parked at end of surfaced road. Nice profile of hill on the other side of the glen. Track towards Shawhead, down and over river. Farmer asked if I would like a lift. He said he had not been to the top in years! Onto upper track and a diagonal trudge over tussock to column 5414 in a dip in the centre of a grass covered raised ring. 13.45.arranc25/02/2011
Parked at 7925 2350 at junction with forest track. Followed track towards Shawhead then up to hill track. A bit after the gate took a rising traverse onto the hill.chrisbien06/11/2010
