From the road to the West of Dalbeattie reservoir. Here for the trig.NormanW10/07/2023
Down from Knox Hill to join main track up, was puzzled by what looked like the traces of unusually manic orienteering till I remembered the comments about offroaders. Passed by cheery maintenance man-in-a-van who then abseiled up the mast. Came down W to just shy of Rumbling Well, which was a bit daft, lucky to get through the gorse & hawthorne relatively unscathed, would be better to stick to the top of the ridge till much nearer the road.agentmancuso18/05/2023
Walked from Buittle farm. Farmer very kindly let me park at their son's house (which is not abandoned). Word of warning! The road to the farm has badly deteriorated lately and the difference in height from left to right is strongly noticeable. I nearly couldn't get back up with my Micra so people with cars with low clearance should avoid!Katrina8928/11/2022

Good condition 7th May 2019 11:17 by thejackrustles (Delete) (Edit) (Upload photo ) FB Number: S8316 Condition: Good Score: 7/10 Here for the trigpoint 'Buittle Mains' TP:UK log: Parked a derelict building at bottom of track to reservoir and walked up track to mast. Reservoir is drained at the moment and lots of workmen about. We met the farmer on the way back and had a long chat. He said people off road at the top near the mast hence the churned up ground and hazard tape.thejackrustles07/05/2019
