From Brooke Street. Great paths and short scramble over debris to wall/top. Down via MB trails. 8/9 HuMPN.Morters20/02/2023

This is all very easy now- ATB tracks are being developed and one goes off the red-waymarked path from the cross wall, on the S side of the ridge, at 226413 (from map- not a GPS reading), NW along the summit ridge. Not knowing this, we followed red-marked round the N side and went through a gap to a very faint trod getting round the worst of the brash and fallen trees and had a nice surprise of finding the ATB track NW of the top so we traversed the summit. Street parking in Brook Street. Quick up and down.PGCE05/02/2022
As Moorponder but if you go straight up from the end of the wall, you'll end up pretty much at the summit. If anything, you might have to walk a few yards north west. I'm surprised there isn't a path to the summit. It's a trip.Wycombe Wanderer25/01/2022

From Brook street. Up red trail to end of walls then up through felled trees and brambles. At the crest tracked eastwards up to the summit by the kink in the wall.Moorponder16/10/2021
Parked in Brook Street, up hill road to fingerpost, following red Woodland Trust waymark posts clockwise round hill to highest point, then struck up into trees to summit. Back down to Woodland Trust poath to complete circuit of hill. With Tim747.CreakingHiker20/08/2020

From car park in Brook Street like others. What is up with Llangollen... The Humps feel like tumps and the tumps feel like Marilyns... Very nice area up here.tumpawumpa17/04/2019

From bottom of Brook Street. Tarmac path forks steeply from pavement, then steep up and a right turn onto woodland path. Found our own way up. There are little trails amongst the trees. Nice woodland walking in the dusk. With B and R.jenx25/11/2018
At dusk from Llangollen town, parking in Brook street by garages free. See Jenx notes. Interesting top.nordicstar25/11/2018

Lovely area of mixed woodland with nice views from clearings above the tightly packed slate roofed houses of LLangollen. Circular trip from pay and display carpark behind church on A5 to NW of summit. No parking on other narrow streets.1:25 map detail useful.Summit- indistinct, but by crumbling slate wall- appears a little distance to the NW of the OS spot height.Denise 14/10/2016
From small car park in Brook St. at base of NW shoulder (pay and display, free after 17:00) narrow lanes reach path which crosses pasture and enters mixed woodland (Woodland Trust) Easily up through Oak, Ash and Pines to summit. No viewsRichardM14/10/2016
As chrisbien. Great path from road. Another great path on left well before reaching the walled track - follows line of broken wall shown on 1:25000 map which is actually a retaining wall to support the path - emerges onto higher track from which a very short climb through trees brings you to the wall. Highest point seems to be gap in wall as previously reported. OS map shows high point further along wall to south east and on opposite side of wall, but it is clearly not right.ijpowell17/09/2016
from pay and display car park as others.Rob5026/06/2016
With K and RM. From near old youth hostel. More paths on hill than info suggests.Ashley27/05/2016

park in town. signed tarmac path to hill. bear right after 200m over three stiles to where path levels off. straight uphill through scrubby trees to wallarranc02/05/2013
Up from the town. Followed the public footpath then a good but unmarked path off to the right (after two styles) almost to the top then cut off through the trees to the right when the short holding wall ends.simon and co03/01/2013
Parked in Llangollen and followed A5 to Star Inn, turning S onto lane up past a chapel. Followed lane for 150m uphill, then left up tarmaced path by some houses. Where tarmac ends a sign shows way up hill. Made it unnecessarily difficult by following wall all the way to summit over barbed wire fences. True HP probably under wall but general summit area apparent. Descended NW thorough mixed woodland to pick up path down through kissing gate and down to houses. There is a pay & display car park right under hill by chapel at SJ 2190 4185.Man of Kernow109/12/2012
Up from Brook Street. A very pleasant wooded hill. I followes the ruined dyke through runnable woodland up and dropped northwards to a substantial path on return.fasgadh04/05/2012

Tried northern approach but parking was rubbish. Easy parking and good path from east side. Summit impossible to identify with any certainty.chriswatson15/09/2010
parked at 230 414. Followed path to within 130m of top then through forest. Top flattish so could be anywhere. probably the wall. Difficult to get reliable GPS because of trees.destaylor08/07/2010
From SJ 230 414. Walked along the summit wall to make sure.summitsup10/02/2010
I think the highest spot is a large tree next to the wall at grid 2254941479 but there's a good chance I'm wrong because it's in a wood.andrew brown04/12/2009
