10:30 am, 8 degrees, light easterlies, cloud base 1800'. From Darowen with Miranda. Very fine hill, incredible to think it's under 1000'. Descended ridge then track to Nantygaseg, where the farmers were friendly. On to Cefn Goch.Wycombe Wanderer31/12/2019
Cefn Coch, Ffridd Pen-y-Graig and Fron Goch give a good walk in the hilly, pastoral area between Nant Gwydol and the Dovey Valley. We started at Abercegir, though noted that there was better parking at Darowen, outside church service times. This was our final hill, a really nice top, some hill fort remains. The bridleway from Darowen to Nantygaseg is now signposted over it, but the signing is capricious- nothing at the road at either end and directed over a very obviously abandoned route- you relay need to follow the new hill road, via SH 8152 0153 at the boundary of the access land, to get off the hill to Nantygaseg. Straightforward access from the gate off the lane, due east. Done in the dark.Alex C14/04/2017

Continuation of walk from Ffridd Pen y Graig. Returning to Darowen, I had similar problems finding the start of the RoW, so scaled gate south-west of the church and up through sheep pasture to join it. Then waymarks all the way to the summit. Walk continued to Bryn y Brain. Solo.Man of Kernow119/11/2016
Easiest way is as per RHW although you do block a gateway. As I came down there was a farmer on a quad bike but he was friendly enough.clivevilla23/07/2015
From Darowen, couldn't find start of bridleway so headed across meadow to pick up waymarks eventually. The bridleway now crosses the summit so appears to have been diverted.Chris Peart12/07/2014
From Darowen (SH 830 017) - circular excursion taking in Cefn Coch then Fron Goch.summitsup16/04/2013
Penegoes to Commins Coch: Zig zag tracks rise from SH819008 avoiding most of the gorse.Smudge15/02/2013
From Darowen. No footpath signs. Access to hill from lane to SW of church before chapel - a gate. Then footpath markers.destaylor29/09/2011
parked in Darowen thought we found path - coming back came through a gate which said "private keep out" - this is best route to topPhil M01/06/2011
Excellent panoramic views for a low level hill.DARRENG25/10/2010
A hill which justifies bagging humps. Great views from a low summit. Why has nobody else ticked it yet? Highly (or lowly) recommended.andrew brown24/10/2010
From Darowen village again. Unsigned bridal path at the back of a garage, over grass fields with some yellow arrows over wire fence to iron age fort on top, 10.05.arranc13/09/2010
