Up the logging track from WSW then a couple of lesser tracks before popping out in pasture and following the edge of the forest NE to the summit.clivevilla06/02/2019

As per arranc. Start of walk deceptive, best to use new loggers road which is good to SN 73420 33775 where path is no longer maintained and may well become impassible in a year or 2. Breaks out of woodland onto hill top sheep pasture at SN 73728 33960 where it's a pleasant 200m walk across to summit and Black Wood trig pillar.jonglew24/08/2014
Parked outside forest access point. Lot of felling going on. On zig zag tracks to a gate at the top (watch for trailing brambles). Through gate and over grass to column 5539 at 12.35.arranc03/05/2014
Parked quite easily at end of track WSW. Lots of different tracks - no problem finding the top.destaylor24/05/2012
