Parked in the lay-by. Three of the four stiles en route broken and loose. Then, as others, followed the fence to the trig. Brambles could be an issue in the summer if you stay on the right side of the fence.Newton Maximus01/01/2023
As others, parked in good layby on minor road, ca. 30m NW. of junction at 898226 - walk as others, using path alongside fence on pasture and onto access land over BBW fence to trig point/HP. Kept to access land back down, easier than it looked at the gate, but not as easy as other side of fence. Good views of nearby area made a route over Plumstone Mt (not a Tump) look a more interesting alternative but maybe rough on the access land to this Hump. Usefully done on drive from home to St Davids, which is as far as the Lake Dist from Chobham.pwheeler09/05/2022
As others, parked in layby 30m or so NW. of junction at SM 8984 2265 - RoW over sheep pasture & then over stile & through pedestrian gate into Access Land - Over BW fence & along path on N. side. Back under fence about 60m before trig point which lies on S. side. (S)gerrybowes21/07/2021
As others: Good layby on minor road at T junction to SW. Signed footpath then access land, but easier to walk along left of fence.PGCE19/07/2021
From west along PROW then along field boundary by access land.cjo20/08/2019

With Jenx and Bryher up from junction lay by to NW. Nice stone circle up there by trignordicstar03/04/2019
Good layby on minor road at T junction to SW. Signed footpath then access land.jenx03/04/2019
Paths and access land, from layby at T junction to SW.rhalstead09/03/2019
A half hour return walk from the layby at 8988226. Walked on north side of fence to the summit as it is easier going. Solo. Great views of Ramsey Island from the slopes.bolton31/12/2018
To the SW there is a layby immediately after the two roads split on the one heading NW. Followed the obvious path up across the pasture. When this reaches the gorsey hump you have to dink right and follow the fence line to the trig.clivevilla16/07/2018
Great to tackle a Hump after so many minor Pembroke points. Paked in Road by very wonky stile to SWGordonAdshead15/05/2018
Parked near housed marked as Gwachl-tagy at SW corner of the forest due S of trig point. Followed marked footpath on OS 1:25000 map, due N to edge of forest and open access land, then along unmarked footpath at northern edge of the forest. Chose not to cross open access land because of barbed wire and the solid mass og gorse and heather. At the end of this path was barbed wire and open access land beyond soon found footpath going north and crosses thru gap in barbed wire to follow fence line in the open access land heading west. This soon became heather and low gorse. Not pleasant walking. There was an area 2O m across around the trig point that was largely free of heather and gorse. Lunchtime. Evidence of a stile over barbed wire fence at the top. And evidence of a path along the others side of fence. Much easier going down this way, but more barbed wire needed to be crossed to get onto the path to Plumstone Rock. Then easy way back to the car past a scrapyard and timber yarMalcvolm17/04/2017
Hilltop not outstanding but plenty of interest in the area. Walked from Wolf's Castle headed towards St Justinian's.Alex C23/07/2016
From the west.summit in area of gorse and Heather.Adrian25/10/2015
from road SW ROW then up fence line good views of Presili, Hlls, Carn Llidi and Ramsey Islandunderhill16/08/2015
6/6 Legs still sore from gorse the day after. Not easy access to summit as other walkers beforeFergalh01/08/2015
No problems. RoW then followed left of fenceline to near summit. A movable fencepost gives access to the last overgrown bit. Trig still clear of gorse - bit of a blasted heathColin Crawford30/06/2015
From road junction to SW. Initially on RoW across sheep pasture then followed stock fence to summit.jonglew30/08/2014
Parked near lane T-junction at SM 89848 22649 - room for 1-2 cars. Took RoW east past rock tor and over stile into access land. Then followed path to gate at forest edge at SM 90664 22682. Then it was hard slow work over pathless heather and gorse up to trig point near a small stone circle. Trig point acessible when I did it - brambles had been cut back. On return, followed fence SSW over bracken-covered minor top back to stile on edge of access land, and so down by outward route. Wear tough trousers and gaiters for this hill, or do it in shorts with leg-armour, as I did!Man of Kernow101/08/2014
Had to hop over a few fences and got torn by gorse to get to summit. Clearly marked though and good views of coast.fnem31/07/2014
From the east via Plumstone Hill.Rob Pen y Garn12/05/2014
park at 900230. up track to farm and signed path to left over stile to sheep grass and bracken. column is over BWF and in brambles. take secateurs.arranc11/09/2013
Access land impossible combination of gorse, heather and bramble - trig point nicely hidden. So, as is usual, happy to sneak up and brazen down.Martin R26/07/2011
Parked at T junction. Bridleway then along fence and over to trig. Gaiters a must. The trig is accessible.chrisbien11/05/2011
After a pleasant approach from Treffgarne & Poll Carn, the access area gorse field S & E of the summit was (still is) painful. A trespass into the sheep fields to the NW is very tempting.Smudge25/04/2011
Chose the wrong hill to do in shorts! Gloves and a machete required to reach trig in gorse and brambles.tim74724/04/2011

Is there a trig point in there? Stopped on the West side of the barbed wire. Head miles above the top. Going through the 1 - 2 metres of thick 'jungle' not worth it.destaylor24/10/2010
Parked at end of bridleway to S. Up W edge of wood and along field boundaries. Open access area is thick heather. Trig buried in Gorse, brambles and bracken.PeteF22/07/2010
Parked at junction to the south west marked by spot height (138m). Followed footpath to forestry and found no track through gorse and heather to summit. Waded and pushed my way to the trigpoint. Only to find open farm land running up to the trigpoint on the north and west side. An easy walk backDusty16/04/2009
Dugswell2's 625th HUMP is Dudwell Mountain. Lovely clear day but a machete is almost required to access trig point in gorse around flattish top.Dugswell218/03/2009
pleasant summit & view; Trig buried in gorse. FP from W then pasture RHW21/06/2003
