From The Plough. Very straightforward ascent as others.Crumblie220/11/2023
From Plough Inn, up crabtree Lane, then BW across pasture to gate. Followed track between gorse onto fenced pond and up to gate. Then up to trig and nearby HP. Great views from top.PeterD11/08/2023
On travel from Scotland to England. Very easy, straight up from Plough Inn. Asked permission to park & no problem at all. Crabtree Lane then ROW to Path cross roads, then due East through ample breaks in gorse to gate between standing stone and trig. Beautiful views.Lynnebe27/05/2023
11th of the day and running out of steam. Parked at 566839 and followed the row and then headed half left. It appeared that the hill in front had a trig on it but I think it is just a stone and the trig and summit are just beyond the mast compound.clivevilla17/05/2023
Extremely limited parking to the north where the bridleway reaches the road. Follow the bridleway as it parallels the wall until the second gate then head directly across the fell towards the stone (looks remarkably like a trig point). Once at the stone the summit comes into view and can be accessed by a fastened up gate in the intervening wall.moorsman20/04/2023
From east up the mast track, limited parking at Middle Tow Farm. Impressive large barn conversion almost complete. Easy up track to mast and summit and trig just beyond.N.Morters19/02/2023
Followed Isbjorn's route, parking opposite the track to the NE. Followed an ATV track over a small hill, then back past a tarn to a gate, then second gate at SD5614 8317. Obvious grassy track up the final slopes from the gate to the wall hurdle, and to trig point, then summit. Pleasant walk.LizH19/11/2022
Route as Isbjorn. The hurdle gate is at GR SD 56325 82716DC11main01/10/2022
1 x parking at SD566839. BW SW to gate at SD561831. SE to hurdle in wall at SD564828, from where int. FPs to top.Isbjorn15/02/2022
From Lupton. Long chat with farmer who has an impressive amount of wildlife on his land. From bridleway via gate just west of top.trimarc206/08/2021
Quite faffy coming up from the road to the southeast, but is well worth it once you get to the final approach to the trig.Alex C14/06/2021
Walked from Crooklands to Kirkby Lonsdale. Useful gate in wall west of mast. It is just north of a fenced off pool and just south of a natural standing stone with pointed top.raymondwilkes14/04/2021
Parked at start of ROW to N. Through gate and followed grassy track over minor top. Short pathless section to a gap in the wall, then over fields to pick up access track to mast. Visited summit and trig.PGCE18/02/2021
After Farleton Fell in murky dreek. HP is in between aerials and trig on a grassy mound in sheep pasture.Denise 24/01/2020
Parked at Bridleway to north. Followed BW until through 2nd gate (excluding one by car). Then up ridge to summit with one gate to climbconanharrod10/01/2020
Used Bridleway from the North, then once through the second gate, head up left, over the first top with an upright stone on horizon, then through a gate to the mast area. High point close to trig point.nickywood104/08/2019
From verge P to N (narrow roads!). Fine hill - good views.ger05/05/2019
From a parking spot at 566839. Followed the ROW to a gate and then directly to the summit. 45 minute solo return.bolton14/04/2019
From minor road to North, parking for two cars at start of prw, with Ellie dog.BLACKHILL24/02/2019
From lane to the north. Several places to park. Followed bridleway then east to summit through a small wooden gate. Rough pasture, so I wonder why this isn't Access Land? Back same way and bagged Warth Hill from the same parking spot. Solo.Dangerous Dave22/01/2019
Roadside verge parking (SD 5664 8395). Good unmapped track through Craigmire Plantation to a junc of stone walls, then up to the masts.jonglew30/11/2018
Small parking space by bridleway at SD 56639 83943. Along the sometimes indistinct bridleway to gate at 561831 - Through gate & then made way up to summit & trig point with one awkwardly leaning gate to cross. (S)gerrybowes05/09/2018
Pleasant short walk and ascent from bridleway to the north west. Parking available at start of track, but the lanes here are very narrow.JohnW28/07/2018
Up prow from north, past small pond to mast then pillarcjo15/07/2018
From lane to N as others- up through Cragmire Plantn, top of service road, back via rock at 280m and bridleway which does exist- except by the road gate where its course is a mire. Limpid atmosphere and great views, the route allowing better appreciation of some aspects cluttered by the masts from the HP. With Pete, before drive S down M6 to Warwickpwheeler06/10/2017
With K; RM waited in car. Approximately followed bridleway from N however this route does not exist on the ground. Just sort of busked the route. Not one to think about too much; let you hill skills guide you.Ashley14/08/2017
With Jenx and Bryher from same spot to North, parking for a car at start of BW. Line it takes is more direct to top than on 1:50k, thru sparse pines then low fence to gain track to summit. Lots of sheep!nordicstar05/06/2017
Climbed from the Plough Inn at Lupton along minor road, bridleways then head for standing stone. Then straight to trig pointrobert04/01/2017
15th hill of a 14 hr day covering 50 kms linking 24 Tumps on foot with Darren.Spot of luck in being able to sneak past Middle Row Farm to the east to gain access track to transmitter. Breezy now but warm -down SE to fp and sit on log for a bite and D to change his sweaty socks and shorts !Chris Pearson16/07/2016
Pleasant stroll on a sunny afternnon from road to North.Good all-round viewpoint.catman07/05/2015
Beaut of a hill. Parking in narrow lane by Bridleway to North. Follow track, not a direct line as BW on map. Near copse of fine scots pine aim to Eastern end, gap in wall and short pull leads to mast service road. Easy pull to trig / summit. Amazing views to Lakes Hills, Howgills, West Dales and Morecambe bay.nordicstar01/02/2015
Crooklands (nice church on a hill) to Holme. Good viewpoint for the higher hills flanking Kent & Lune Dales.Smudge12/01/2013
Easy amble across fields from the N. Shame about the mast on the top.Aye Jimmy03/08/2011
Up from the north with few problems. The dyke before the summit had a gate. Very rich in wildlife. The trig is not the summit.fasgadh21/07/2011
Parked to N.destaylor16/05/2011
Fairly easy from path to SE. Before second stile followed wall uphill and found gates or broken walls to get to trig.chriswatson23/02/2011
Approached on bridleway from the North.MorecambeMonkey03/02/2011
Parked at SD 560 842 but better verge parking nearer bridleway. Followed bridleway SW to wall at SD 561 831 then trespass to summitDavid Gradwell23/01/2011
