5th hill of 6 on a route from Colne to Cononley climbing Colne Edge, Law Hill, Sheep Hill and Hawshaw Hill, descending on Fp North on wet fields (and avoiding cattle) to Lothersdale heading NW on Winter Gap lane then very briefly on White Hill lane before taking fp signed Pinhaw Beacon, crossing pasture. Once on the open access land i followed a track over to the Trig complete with Green plastic snake poking its head out of the aperture at the base. I took the Pennine Way SE then continued to Tow top farm and a linking fp to Babyhouse lane.. Continuing onto Gib Sdide.Dazingdale22/07/2017

It is only a short walk from the car park but weather went from sunny to horizontal hail with thunder and lightning in a couple of minutes. Zero delay between flash and roar led me to hunker down in a small pit until the storm passed over I hope the shorts and singlet wearing runner made it back home safely.M3WDD27/03/2016

Anyone walking this top should make a 5 minute detour to see the Beacon Guards grave. Continue travelling SE after the summit and look for a small, but distinct, path leaving the PW travelling NE. After 100m or so look for the grave, marked by a stone, in the heather. Google it for more detailed descriptions and its story.moorsman03/10/2008
