As others, from rough parking ESE. Excellent views of nearby Cadbury hills and way further, with Glastonbury Tor. We bagged the local hills today but they could be combined in a very good walk. We noticed the farmer walking from here to Parrock Hill, for instance. With Pete.pwheeler05/06/2023

Parking space for two cars just off Beacon Lane, then straight up and back. Didn't expect the beacon to be two fluorescnt tubes in a red light cover!! With Tim747CreakingHiker24/06/2021

Easy verge parking at top of Beacon Lane at ST 6360 2332 - Through pedestrian gate & then a 5 minute stroll across short sheep-grazed grass to the high point by trig point. (S)gerrybowes12/05/2021
Just a short stroll from top of Beacon Lane, and worth every easy step. Incredible views out over Somerset and beyond. Mendips, Quantock and Blackdown Hills, and moors. With enigmatic Glastonbury Tor setting the far off and Cadbury Castle near to scene, this is a top spot for sure. With Tiarnán.Pete West11/10/2020

No this is a proper beacon hill. Rising steeply from the plain to the west. 360 degree views, grass covered, no trees and there is a red, illuminated warning beacon at the summit. Met paragliders from my 14/07/2018 visit to Thorncombe Beacon (18195) - small worldM3WDD15/07/2018

With K in dark from layby to north east. We scared the cows. K used red light on head torch to pretend to be the beacon.Ashley17/11/2017

From Parrock Hill descended directly towards The Beacon. We saw a brocken spectre in the misty/sunny conditions. From Girt we went through a gate a ascended directly to the summit. We were above the surrounding banks of fog, with just a few surrounding points sticking out from the sea of cloud. With JT and HT.Sprog02/11/2017
