Straight off morning ferry at Portsmouth from Caen after month bagging P600s in Spain with DD. Parked opposite footpath sign following prow past trig and turning left towards spot height along farm tracks. Wandered around Barns. Looks like hp is near SW corner of barn SE of spot heightmntainman07/03/2023
Verge parking near trig along FP and then around to HP near barns, which are definitely still there.PeterD05/02/2023
Parked on road near trig. Continued to summit.Minto15/01/2023
Parked at Hawkley, bagged Goleigh Hill and on to Wheatham Hill. Very misty day and tramped about the level field. Barns appear to have been demolished.PhilipChaston13/11/2022
Verge parking to NW by start of RoW at SU 7263 2790 - SE along RoW to bend & then made way along edge of field before heading SE on machinery tracks across field to the summit GR. This lies about 20m beyond the SW corner of large metal barn. Barn corner is shown in summit photo, but the summit GR is probably just out of shot by a few metres. (S)gerrybowes16/04/2021
somewhat unsatisfying indistinct point in field near barn, but lovely day for a walk enjoying autumnal colours.Denise 05/11/2020
From the band of trees SE over the summit area. Natural high point seems to be in the vicinity of the OS spot height. The LIDAR high point between cow shed and barn looks to be made up and levelled ground to me.RichardM05/11/2020
Not a whole lot to get enthused over here.Alex C23/09/2020

From Petersfield station via The Harrow Inn (don't miss this place if you like pubs), then up Shoulder of Mutton hill. Summit could be anywhere in the field - did a lap of the water tower too. Beautiful winter's day.Richard24/02/2018
Easy summit, trig point is on a steady path. Hot day though!derlan14/06/2017
Bagged after trig from Warren Corner. Had a good walk around plus a look in the woods.Dugswell206/09/2016

My brother printed out lists of Humps when he was recovering from a broken ankle. They gave the impetus to revisit old favourite walking areas. I'd walked past the road end but never visited the top 3 times but today sneaked onto it from the water tower. No one about so walked to road through Hill Farm. Then I did a Hangers walk with a pub stop at Hawkley Inn. Parking is easy on Old Litten Lane and I recommend the Hangers as a pleasant, unique area for walks. Did with Gibbet Hill(qv) in 2016 with my brother, for whom Hump bagging is part of the recovery plan.pwheeler22/11/2015
3/7 Third climb of wet and windy day. All small due to inclement weather (Fort Southwick/Butser Hill/Wheatam Hill/Gibbet Hill/Telegraph Hill/Black Down/Linch Down/)Fergalh14/11/2015
From Warren Corner, fairly insignificant.rhalstead18/10/2015

Parked at Warren Corner and walked into field on ROW past trig point to given grid ref.clivevilla08/10/2013
From start of ROW in Warren Corner. Looked like potatoes growing in the summit field.chrisbien23/04/2013
walk to the column at 246m and on bridal path and the sides of a field by farm building to the GPS top. 13.30.arranc27/02/2013
Short stroll from the south to break the journey on the way home from bat course.Herbert Anchovy06/09/2012
Along from Warren Corner Pillar - loverly quiet farmland viewsgriefmiester03/07/2012
Part of a 45mile cycle ride from fleet. As others have said it is difficult to pin point a peak. Make sure to go to the trig point in the woods as this offers the best views. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/191206790Tom09/06/2012
Looked to me that the corner of the woods with the water tower in them is highest. Pays your money takes you choice.simon and co30/01/2012
The top is at 249 point on the map - the water tower base is definitely lower and so are the two trig points. If your cheeky it is quick walk up the farm trackMartin R22/08/2011
Parked on small road leading to Ashford Chace SU740264. Up Shoulder of Mutton Hill via footpath, along Old Litten Lane to summit and back down via footpath by Ashford Farm. Weather was clear, dry, mild, light breeze.Wesrob17/04/2011
Walk with Nicky, Emily & Joefnem17/04/2011
Main part of the hill is 1ml to ESE, around the 248m height at 740271, within Ashford Hangers National Nature ReserveBrianMatthews01/12/2010
A loop through the Hangers between Liss & Petersfield stations. The slight rise in the southern fence of the water tower enclosure (concealed in woodland) seemed as good as anything around Hill Farm.Smudge09/10/2010
An easy stroll up the hill from the entrance to the Nature reserve as there was little parking to be able to do a decent loop walk.scooterjo3303/09/2010
I walked from the nother, taking in the trig Point first and then headed along the path to this top. Hard to tell the highest point whether it is on the path or a little to the east of it.Father Ted02/09/2010
20+ mile walk from Woolbeedding Common and back with Lesley and Betty (Jack Russell) taking in a few tops / trigsChris Pearson11/04/2010
