Train from Victoria to Gypsy Hill then walked to Crystal Palace, Westow Hill, Sydenham Hill and Forest Hill before taking the train back from Forest Hill. | clivevilla | 04/08/2018 |
An evening circuit of Sydenham Hill, Westow Hill and Crystal Palace Hill from Crystal Palace station. The best part of the walk was wandering through Crystal Palace park en route to Sydenham Hill Road. In view of the topographic uncertainties of Westow Hill, I walked around the roundabout via the crossings, then seized my chance to carefully walk across the centre during a momentary lull in traffic. The ground behind the churchyard wall at Crystal Palace hill seems higher than both the pavement and the grassy lozenge by Forsyte Crescent. | Nick Down1 | 28/03/2018 |

1 hr road walk by streetlight linking the 4 tops from Crystal palace to Forest Hill between tubes and train home. Less than 1 mile away in Dulwich College is a replica of the (tiny)James Caird- Shackleton's lifeboat that somehow, skippered by Frank Worsley survived 2 weeks in the Southern Ocean reaching South Georgia from Elephant Island as part of arguably the greatest epic adventure ever. A far cry from my minor 1 hr adventure tonight. | Chris Pearson | 17/12/2015 |
Did this top on a horrible day after walking up Forest Hill, then going up Sydenham before returning to Forest Hill Station. | Dragonzilla | 13/09/2015 |
