From Wimbledon, Merton tops, Putney Heath, King Henry VIII Mound, Heston and Horsenden Hill. Front door styles very diverse in this part of the world but Greenford was depressing. Finished at Perivale.PhilipChaston26/11/2023
9 of 13. From Wimbledon station on the District line, a seven and half mile walk over Wimbledon common and Richmond park to reach Lauriston road, Putney heath and King Henry VIII mound finishing at Richmond station.WAYNE ROWLETT06/08/2023
After watching Carlos Alcaraz win Wimbledon from the Southern Village we bagged the Tump. Unfortunately our good luck with the weather ran out and we were drenched!BaggerGutt16/07/2023

From Wimbledon Common. Nice to find a top that is on a hill (well a mound).Andrew Pearson22/03/2022
A surprise top when you climb a mound in a woodland and realise there is nowhere higher around. Part of a walk over Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common - 4 tops in 4 hours!Nick10/08/2021

3 Boroughs today. Wandsworth 3rd summit of the day.pclyndes10/05/2020
Had to go back and do this one properly having walked past the windmill on the Capital Ring 18 months ago and forgetting to go to the high point. Tube/bus from Park Royal via Hammersmith. Pretty obvious which is the high point once you emerge from the woods though OS Locate app was useful in pointing the way.jedthehumanoid29/06/2019

Fairly sure I'd never been up the HP mound on prev walks here; from Wimbledon sta via Dairy Walk, then on to the Green Man for buses; urban/ commons, interesting.pwheeler28/07/2017
A circuit of Wimbledon Common from Wimbledon tube on a hot, sunny evening with tennis crowds enjoying the weather. A very pleasant stroll, albeit short on anything obviously hill-like. First Wimbledon column, then a mini-traverse of the two tumuli of Putney Heath by the Windmill (the second top of the southern tumulus looks highest) and finally Lauriston Road, where the highest of the grassy verges between Lauriston Road and Clifton Road and the start of Wimbledon Common might shade Lauriston Road itself.Nick Down104/07/2017

Day out on the Tube doing a circuit of the Tumps. From Richmond Tube Station, Richmond Park and Putney Heath onward to Wimbledon Park Station.rhalstead25/02/2017
Sunday lunch celbrating a family birthday at Cannizaro House so unable to resist the opportunity of a visit. Apart from the incassant traffic noise punctuated with wail of sirens Wimbledon Common has a remarkably wild feel to it. Summit has 3 potential high points crossed by NNW / SSE trending path. The southern is the largest and most deserving, the northern much smaller but slightly higher with chunks of concrete and bricks amongst the gravel. For a wet Sunday afternoon I can recommend the 4 course lunch in the Carnizaro Orangery resturant for quality of food, value and setting.RichardM15/01/2017
3/5 In London for weekend so did some Borough Bagging Third of Five (Lauriston Road/Wimbledon Common/Putney Heath/Richmond Park/Telegraph Hill)Fergalh02/10/2016
Both 60m contours gave me 60m elevation on GPS. Felt the more southerly one may have been higher, but arbitrary.jonglew20/07/2016
Walked from home along the river to Putney, crossed Putney Bridge and then up Putney High Street to the Heath. Walked around the Heath and into Wimbledon Common before reaching the summit.cwrci25/05/2016

2hr across the parks walk from Wimbeldon to Richmond. Every week a Saturday park run starts from the nearby windmill, where Baden Powell wrote part of Scouting for Boys, and where The Doctor in his Tardis once stopped off. Like the Doctor I too was confronted by a scary monster but in the form of a snarling barking dog which did not like me as I feebly defended myself with my map case until the owner grabbed it.(the dog not my map case)Chris Pearson17/12/2015
This was the second of a four hill walk that took me from Richmond to Wimbledon via Richmond Park and Wimbledon Common. This top was very obvious.Dragonzilla05/10/2015

4 London Borough tops today on a 13.5m round walk - Richmond Park, Putney Heath & Wimbledon Common. Obvious top, quiet, but no views as surrounded by trees. Nearby Windmill worth a visit.Hillsidenick28/04/2013
After a quick cup of coffee and cake at the Wimbledon Windmill tea room. Wandered up to the top of the hump. North of the windmill. A little slippery after the rain.steverd12/04/2013
3rd one on a walk from Wimbledon to Richmond and at last an obvious top :-)heavyhorses07/04/2013
From work, running trip in evening from Putney station, taking in the three CoU/L tops: Putney Heath, Wimbledon Common and Lauriston Road. Came in by headtorch and GPS from north, easy sparse woodland. From the memorial to the local troop regiment plodded up the mound, good to know from Des that the coordinates are right!nordicstar19/02/2013
