Parking at barn at SD776965. N along B6259 and up farm track to Hazelgill. Then bridleway to High Dolphinsty. Good ATV track out to Little Fell and back. Good path up to Wild Boar Fell summit with good linking path to E top. Poorer path down to col and along to Swarth Fell. 19.3 miles 2889ft walk, start at Cross Hall Farm Caravan Park Cautley, walk along A638 to Beck Side, take right Lane to Bluecaster Side, follow briddleway across moor to Uldale then Nutall route to Flint Howe and Sand Tarn then summit of Wild Boar Fell, cross plateau to view point then follow fence line to Swarth Fell and Swarth Fell Pike, back track and take fence line down across Holmes Moss Hill to A Pennine Journey path and follow west to Foggy Hiil and back to Cautley. | stephenbuda | 10/09/2020 |
