First tor in the dark by headtorch having just started the night section of my 100 tors in 25 hours. Still warm.Just touched it, rather than summitting this time. Then down to Greator Rocks and the tricky path through the bracken down to cross the stream and up towards Haytor.Chris Pearson22/07/2018
good craic jumping about the rocksGmacT07/07/2018
Car park to NW. Short walk and fairly straightforward scramble if you go between the two main outcrops and then climb back towards the car park. You have to step across a short gap near the top. This is uphill going up and, if wet, there is not much space on the downhill return step.clivevilla14/11/2017

A short 20 walk from the car park to the NW. Great weather and a good scramble. Solo.bolton07/11/2016
A climbers Mecca, especially for bouldering. I climbed Suspension Flake (a photogenic VS hanging flake)in 2002 here with Bob - but don't recall scrambling to summit. Today did the blocky scramble to high point with Lesley and Flook the German Pointer who loved leaping around on the rocks being the hound on Hound Tor. Sheltered spot in sun out of wind for a bite was idyllic then down to scramble up Great Tor and down into woods then back over Hayne Down.Chris Pearson11/08/2016
