From Littledale Road CP. Muddy going through pasture but clear track up across access land. Iron post, alternative top and trig all bagged. Andy Goldsworthy installation at disused quarry (SD 556 595) worth a look. No views as totally clagged out. | Vulcan | 28/02/2024 |

With James on a very wet windy day. Started from Jubilee Tower up Grit Fell, then Ward's Stone and back to Clogha Pike before looping back round through Appletree. Had a look at The Three Chairs on..slightly to North of ridge in old Quarry. Fine stonework. | HardenC | 20/12/2023 |

With Izzy and Margo. We got up a bit late so decided to walk up from the car park on Rigg Lane rather than The Residence at the old Moor Hospital (i.e. home). This saved us over four miles of hilly road walking. Great views all afternoon, especially with a picnic at the trig point. | James McKnight | 02/01/2023 |
From the Jubilee tower, carefully avoiding Grit Fell. | tim747 | 21/05/2022 |

2/2 Parked on this Quernmore road just short of the summit of the hill, bagged this hill then walked on footpath just East of the summit across to Clougha Pike using well signed paths on the open access. Then after summit, back down the gravel wide driveway to rejoin the road and walk back up the road to the car. 2 very lovely hours out in the heather moors. Unclassified hill it might be but it has a wonderful view to the Lakes, down over the bay towards Wales and up into the moors and to the Dales 3 peaks. Superb. | nickywood1 | 01/08/2021 |

With Adrian, walked over from Grit Fell, low cloud persisting. Exited from the outcrop by way of footpath down to Rooten and Rowton Brook Farms, the view opening up eventually. Then back up road to Jubilee Tower to complete 5.6 mile, 2 hour walk. | JOHNS | 04/01/2020 |

Lovely walk up from Quernmore in snow. Amazing views over Morecambe Bay to Black Combe, and of the lakeland fells in their winter jackets. Very cold. | Lazylizzie | 10/12/2017 |

A lovely walk up straight after work from The Residence at the old Moor Hospital (i.e. home). Great views all evening, a bit of low cloud obscuring the distant views from the summit. Otherwise perfect. | James McKnight | 31/05/2017 |

Large car park opposite Jubilee Tower at 542573 - Up path alongside fence to Shooters Pile (Cairn) & then made way across to stile at 555590 - From stile, a well-worn track leads to the trig pillar & nearby summit. (PM) | gerrybowes | 11/01/2017 |

From Grit Fell. Partially frozen ground made the going easier, far more rock about than id imagined there would be. Top with stone shelter, cairn and trig pillar. The view is a very fine one but does this hill warrant being on the Trail100list?.. I think I could name 100 tops as deserving.. | stig_nest | 24/11/2016 |
From Rigg Lane late in the day with a heavy cold and between nightshift and dayshift. Just what the doctor should have ordered. | Wycombe Wanderer | 09/10/2016 |
Along from Grit Fell with Darren. An odd choice of hill to make it onto Trail 100 list with only 5m of prominence but a good profile from the west and a good view across the flat Lancashire plain and to the Lakeland hills. The Clougha Pike fell race comes up here on its 4.9 mile 400m ascent route (best time just under 37mins) with the lower half being on private farmland except for race day. Got my new Innov 8 Talon fell running shoes bog-christened on marshy bit cutting back across to tower.Cooked supper in car park -nice summer's evening before heading off for evening ascent of Hawthornthwaite Fell then roadside camp in Trough of Bowland. | Chris Pearson | 23/07/2016 |

I first became aware of Clougha Pike on this fine website, on the Trail 100 list. Walked up a circular route from the west on a humid day with lots of insects among the bracken low down. Very fine views | David Bell | 15/06/2016 |
