Across the col from Creag an Leinibh, and up following a path by the fence, much of the way. Great views over Loch Lomond. Continued along the top towards Creachan Hill, descending steeply to the farm road just SE of the Dam. | LizH | 26/01/2023 |
From Creag an Leinibh. Returned to car in Glen Fruin by retracing the outward route to the col between Balcnock and Beinn Tharsuinn. Contoured SE slopes of latter's summit to Auchengaich Hill, then descended to main road. Having two cars to allow traverse to Shemore or Luss would be better! | Minto | 22/12/2022 |
From Luss we walked up the Glen Luss road then track to just shy of Gleann na Caorainn, where the track crosses the Luss Water. Straight up to Beinn Chaorach for a loch-tastic view and lunch, then eastwards over Beinn Tharsuinn, Balcnock, Creag an Leinibh and Beinn Ruisg. NE down Ruisg's wide flank to where the Sron an Laoigh and Auchengavin burns meet .... quite a lot of bracken near the bottom to thrash through. After a couple of waterfalls an overgrown track on the west side of the conjoined burn is reached, which in-turn leads to a hard track to Auchengavin house and the minor road back to Luss beyond. Great walk in sunny weather. 5.25 hrs total. | summitter | 24/09/2022 |
Circuit of Glen Finlas from layby on A817, close to A82 junction. Balcnock, Beinn Tharsuinn, Creag an Leinibh and Beinn Ruisg. Cloud down to 450m, so very pleased to be able to follow the fences. | PGCE | 03/05/2022 |
Fence post on small grassy ridglet on rough grass pasture , wide ridge. Great views but grey cloud building. Return to Balcnock. | Denise | 19/03/2020 |
Grassy ridge from Creag an Leinibh, great views but increasing cloud and another squall on the way. Fence post with circuit breaker at summit. | RichardM | 19/03/2020 |

MMC walk with Jon Moss and Donald Irving. 4 hour round. better weather than the dreadful forecast though did get 20 minutes of freezing rain. | alexmaclennan | 15/12/2018 |
2nd hill of 14 on an epic horseshoe of the Luss Hills, starting from the Alderdale B&B in Luss, climbing Cruach Dubh then descending Sw to profile around Coire Eoinein keeping close to the edge at times as Deer had made a track of sorts; stag with harem taking similar route ahead of me, intermittently bellowing. I reached summit area close to edge of fence, My gps recorded 595m @ NS32491 91482 and then about 30m to the West the land dips and rolls up, recording 596m @ NS32438 91473. Continuing NW close to fence-line to Creag an Leinibh.... | Dazingdale | 03/10/2017 |
