From Alltchaorunn, An Grianan, Beinn Ceitlinn and Stob Dubh. Generally light winds and excellent visibility, snow above 600m, but never hard enough for spikes. Extensive views. 13km 4h 40Rockdoctor26/03/2024
A classics Tump. Start of traverse. Easy. With Janice.Play2End23/10/2023
Solo. Overnighted in campervan at good parking spot N of bridge NN197513. Hydro construction work underway at Alltchaoruinn, followed walker diversion signs through woods on very boggy path. On leaving the trees headed W up very steep vegetated slopes to spot height 494 An Grianan. Followed ridge up onto Beinn Ceitlein N top, Beinn Ceitlein and Beinn Ceitlein S top in very poor visibility before retracing steps and onto Stob Dubh summit. Unfortunately no views!John Lee17/07/2023
Parked in lay-by at Alltchaorunn. Over new bridge and followed “pipeline path” to dam and new bridge at NN198501. This gave an easier angle to climb An Grianan and onwards to the main ridge. Returned the same way.BaggerGutt28/06/2023
Good car parking opposite bridge. Not obvious how to access the bridge just beyond the cottage. The only way to avoid climbing fences is to pass right next to the cottage. Lovely steep grassy climb to the col, then up to the summit.Minto24/02/2023

From Alltchaorunn. Looks imposing from Glen Etive but easy enough approach from the South. On to the rest of Ceitlein.sclater30/10/2021

An grianan, beinn ceitlein north top, beinn ceitlein, stob dubh, beinn ceitlein south top from alltchaorunn.robertphillips24/04/2021
Parked in layby by bridge to NE. Crossed this then followed marker posts across boggy ground to second bridge near cottage. Crossed this then followed quad track through trees to fence, then headed up steep grass to S ridge of mountain, and followed that to summit. Other aspects blocked by crags. Amazing views from top.Wheelsy23/02/2019

Stob Dubh by NE ridge. An Grianan, Beinn Ceitlein, Stob Dubh from Alltchaorunn bridge. Cloud down over tops so no views.RobertP06/04/2017
Bagged this super little top, en route to Stob Dubh. Good snow cover, cold. A great outing over the former fortified bridge.nordicstar22/01/2011
From Alltchaorunn en route to Beinn Ceitlein and Sob Dubh. Gate locked on return, bridge impassible due to barbed wire necessitating dangerous river crossing. Galltywenallt18/03/2000
