Cairngorm Club weekend meet at Loch Ossian Youth Hostel initially with a companion. We walked on the track on the south side of Loch Ossian. We went our separate ways as my objective was just to do Mullach Coire nan Nead. I had wanted to ascend this top in order to complete a second round of Munro Tops. I followed the path from the outfall where the River Ossian leaves the loch. There were many ice floes jammed at the end of the loch and floating down the river. Once I had crossed the Uisge Labhair I left the path and struck up the hillside to Creagan an Amair followed by easy angled slopes Mullach Coire nan Nead. I returned to the YH. | pwbellarby | 21/02/2009 |
Solo on a line up to the Munros and tops form Corrour to Culra bothy despite climbing into gloomy dismal wet cloud all day. Martin & Pete went direct up the valley to the bothy. | Chris Pearson | 29/12/1991 |
