From the centre of Braemar, followed Linn of Dee Road then left up Chapel Brae before following signposted track/path just past the duck pond all the way to the summit of Morrone. Land Rover track to the south top before descending on the same track to the Old Military Road which takes you through the golf course and back to Braemar.david23020110/10/2019
Walked solo, though met an American chap on the descent. Simple circuit from Braemar village centre via excellent path past view indicator and up north ridge to radio-mast decorated summit. Excellent views of surrounding grander mountains with Ben Avon and Lochnagar prominent. Followed service track south over South Top and descending easily to the east to meet the Old Military Road and return to Braemar. Weather mostly bright but with some light showers. No mist. Time 3 hours. A good one for a late afternoon arrival in Braemar!jamessteel10010/08/2019

Got bus to Braemar, walked straight up the hill. Then down the track over South Top and back to the village along the road. Superb views of the surrounding mountains. Very windy though, grateful for shelter from the summit buildings.PiranhaFish23/08/2017

Solo. Using access track to mast. To Morrone via South Top. Cairn on lefthand side of track at South Top but highest point probably just off track on righthand side. From Morrone back on track and then odd bits of path to Carn na Drochaide. Quite a lot of cairns passed en route that look as though they might be burial cairns. Cairn at highest point.pwbellarby13/05/2015
